Anime releases are planned around game releases; not the other way around. People put too much stock in the anime as a predictor of what we’re going to see in the games.
I was only using the anime as a clue or indicator to when the games might be released.

Detective Pikachu will premiere on the 10th, so maybe sometime after the 10th is when new Sword and Shield information drops.

That's usually never the case, as they usually take 1-2 week breaks between the ending of the previous saga and the release of the next generation.
And it's thanks to that we can be able to make some sort of map of when the game might come out. Just like the weather forecast. They can't get nothing right.

It's premiering in Japan tomorrow, so I can actually picture them doing something around then a week later.

I just see it premiering in North America and Europe as well before they release more information about Sword and Shield.

No but see you’re missing the point. The anime’s end does not determine when the games will release. It’s the other way around. By the time we know exactly when the sun and moon anime will end, we will at that point already know when the games are releasing.

The games will always release from October to November, this is typically the prime time for holiday releases to sell a lot more.

It won't be October because Ohmori said Winter 2019. You can only stretch a season for so long.

The anime has always had a structure that allows them to take as much time as they need before something important happens. As far as I know, the situation for the League to happen has been set up for a while now, it's just that this time, they didn't tell us how long it's going to take. (Possibly because they themselves don't know) Regardless, they can make as many episodes as they want to fill the time.

In the Netherlands we already get it on the 8th (I expect this is the same as in the rest of Europe, except for France, they are getting it tomorrow), which makes it even more unlikely we get anything in that week, so yeah, i think you are correct and we can expect something from the 13th (Which is on Monday).

Can't be Black Friday because that's not something GF tends to do in the past.

Actually, for the past 2 generations, GF has released their Pokémon games before Black Friday (ORAS released on 21st Nov (a week before Black Friday), SM on the 18th Nov (also a week before BF), the Ultra versions on the 17th Nov (again, a week before BF) and the Let's Go games on the 16th Nov (and surprise, surprise, they were released a week before Black Friday once again)).

So, as you can see, GF does indeed tend to launch their Pokémon games before Black Friday starts and (if you wanna believe made-up patterns) chances are that that's when Sword and Shield will be released.

No one's saying that it will release on Black Friday, they're saying that it will release before Black Friday. Pretty sure nothing ever releases on Black Friday because it would be competing with literally everything else on sale.

Why would a movie overshadow a game-trailer which has nothing to do with the movie, other than the fact that it's from the same franchise, but that's about it?

Last time we got a Pokémon Direct reveal and a movie trailer on the same day.
