But wouldn't the movie overshadow the trailer

I don't feel like repeating myself, so I'll just quote my previous post:
I still don't understand why people say that the Detective Pikachu movie is an "obstacle" for Sword/Shield. They're not competing franchises. They don't come from rivalling companies. They're from the same brand, from the same company... If anything, the movie is the opposite of an obstacle, since chances are it will draw even more attention to the Pokémon brand as a whole and, by extension, to the games as well.

Game Freak has absolutely no reason whatsoever to be afraid of the movie. For Arceus' sake, the movie is based on their IP. If anything, GF stands to gain from the movie and the attention it will garner.

Can't be Black Friday because that's not something GF tends to do in the past.
Lmao because literally every game since ORAS has came out in the 3rd week of November. ORASSMUSUMLGPE. So it would stand to reason that SWSW will also be. Why break a pattern like this when it's literally the absolute best time to release a game?

The movie will overshadow it among casuals. Not everyone is dying for new Pokemon.

"Grookey evolution line is based on a specific musical or at least 3 (My Fair Lady, Mezza Pops and [email protected]). Final evolution is grass fairy. It becomes prim and proper lady with its stick becoming a flowery parasol. Is viewed as a bossy busy body/has short temper and is prudish.

Scorbunny's line is based on British sports popularity through the years from soccer to nfl. Scorbunny first gains a grey and cream/beige rugby helmet in it's middle stage. On it's final evolution, it gains shoulder pads and the helmet changes more to an nfl helmet's. I think they tried to make it look like a knight but with sports gear. On the final evolution it gains the steel typing.

(In england, soccer has always been popular but then rugby has become popular in more recent decades but only recently has american football become widely popular with British millennials).

Sobble's final is water poison and seems to be based on an MI5 agent. It shoots out poisonous water from its mouth but through it's hands while they're cupped as if it is using a poison dart. It is depicted as shooting these "darts" from behind cover. The tears underneath sobble become an ingonito mask pattern.

Please take this with a massive grain of salt."

lol

Also Mezza Pops is not a real musical???? It's not an abbreviation of one, either, like they did for Breakfast at Tiffany's. (at least not that I could find. Googling the phrase just goes back to the rumor) EDIT: Maybe it's supposed to be Marry Poppins, but like...why call it that? Nobody else is.

Isn’t ARMS playable in handheld mode, too? You’d be playing it in the same way and it’d have all the resources the Switch has access to in handheld mode.

What did they add to 2DS?
Arms works in handheld mode, but it wasn't intended to be played that way, and for many people, it's much more difficult to play in handheld mode. Some would even argue the same for LGPE, as it was designed with docked play in mind. If the trend continues, this is likely to pop up with more games in the future, too. Nintendo did design the Switch as a console first, with portable options for flexibility.

The 2DS is an exception, because the only thing you could really argue is that the hingeless design is sturdier. However, it's a special case, as I mentioned previously with the 3D causing eye discomfort and headaches, which is particularly problematic for a handheld console that is popular among young children. Reggie even said that the 2DS was targeted to this large portion of their users. It wasn't about producing something cheaper intentionally for that reason.
