A question that often goes through my mind is can they really make remakes of remakes forever?
And i think that Let's go may help remedy that for newer players.
For older players, games in the future that take place in regions we have already been too could work on progressing story and timelines and give opportunities to build on pokemon we know little about and open things up for new adventure in a old region.

I think having older games for download may help after some time too.

Dont know, just goes through my head now and then when people talk about remakes.

At the rate Pokemon is going, it's once again become a world wide phenomenon and to say that they should quit while they're ahead is ludicrous. Especially because I intend to work for Gamefreak.
I hope you make it, bro. We really need an insider working for Game Freak ;)

Now that shirt design was plagiarized. I don't know what's so hard about making your own design instead of taking the design of others.

That was taken from a creator on Red Bubble. Reverse image searching is all you need to find the source of the design.
Really, I read that it was a design he already made. It's just that he sold it in stores before the contest, disqualifying him. Is that what they call self-plagiarism?

=( It's really unfortunate that they had to go against the rules and that they didn't just add a runner up instead. The inclusion of a fan design in a pokemon game would've been a dream come true for some honest participant.

this is really not significantly different from how SM's press was done. i don't get why everyone is literally so #shook
They're talking about the t-shirt contest, which is depressing news.

Well, good luck! I looked into it briefly but then realized I'd have to move to Japan and become fluent in business-level Japanese for a pretty standard computer science / game programming job, as far as pay, etc. It also probably requires a fairly impressive portfolio so yeah...not realistically gonna happen for me, even though it'd be amazing to contribute to creating Pokemon games.

It's fairly different. Last time we got news in May and at the beginning of June. There's not even a release date yet, which is strange if they're waiting to reveal that at E3. We've always had box art and release date before E3 since worldwide releases (XY). We have most of the same info we had last time at this point, but we're still missing a few notable things.

anyways, if they didn't want the contest to be a mess, they should've had a less stringent rule regarding self-plagiarism.

and the initial trailer for SM had virtually nothing beyond "this game exists" with the May trailer giving us the name of the region and starters. considering that this time the two were combined, information-wise, we're on the same track. we're obviously going to have more information at E3.

But, we could possibly see information right before E3. SM did this, by releasing a trailer formally announcing the box legends and revealing many plot relevant characters, including Professor Kukui, Lillie, and Hau, as well as revealing the Rotom Dex.

They really can't lax those rules, though, for business and copyright reasons. That design already was, and probably still is, being sold on shirts online- instead of just automatically assuming copyright over an unused design, there's now a copyright issue because the artwork is already in print and for sale elsewhere. Uniqlo is supposed to gain full rights to print the winning designs themselves.

It's also worth noting that no matter where you upload even the picture, they own it. Even if it wasn't previously sold on another T-shirt website, even if they just uploaded the art to Deviant Art, it would still probably have infringed on the rules since everything you upload to Deviant Art is owned by them.

Also, tbh, I'm not surprised somebody tried to pass off somebody else's art off as their own for a T-shirt contest. Welovefine got into hot water a bunch of times over it. Unlike Uniqlo they didn't investigate it and kept on using the plagiarized art and selling it on their website and in stores without giving credit to the original artists.
