Wait! Nintendo of America's Twitter said that it'll be 15 Minutes long? Is this going to be the same thing in E3 if they're releasing it early?

We have to keep in mind the possibility of no Pokemon at E3 with this Direct being 15 minutes long. Unlike in the past, Gamefreak now has to choose showcasing Town or Pokemon. Considering they can put Pokemon on the Directs, Town has a higher chance of appearing. However, don't get me wrong. I am not saying they cannot showcase both, but i think Pokemon needs less marketing than Town at this point, so it makes more sense to only make it Town exclusive at E3, rather than do both and let Pokemon overshadow Town.

I think that the Gym Leaders won't be revealed until August.

I really hope they announce PMD5 for the Switch tomorrow. I really liked Red/Blue Team and I LOVED Explorers, but I never touched Gates (which I hear is bad) or Super (which I hear is decent). My biggest fear, though, is that there's a non-zero chance that it could be a mobile game considering what happened to Rumble, and if that happens, then I can't even begin to imagine the backlash in the West

Usually wouldn't say this, but "I told you so." I didn't expect a 15 minute direct, but I knew late May or early June was a good bet based on previous news cycles.

I honestly have no idea what to expect from a Direct this long. I'm probably going to not be around here much until after all this new info drops. E3 will probably still bring us a new thing or two, which is awesome, and considering Corocoro Ichiban is a full two weeks later and then some, I think Corocoro Comic will cover info in the direct + move contest, while Ichiban will probably have some new info on the 21st.

It would probably make sense if they added in Gen 8 Pokemon as well.

15 minutes??? Wow. I expect some kind of retrospective of past games, since they didn't do much of that for the announcement trailer, but that would only be a few minutes of "it's finally on a home console" hype.

So they'll definitely go into the starters. Showing them in-game, in-battle, and likely showing how you meet/choose them. Going over a certain move each knows, other stuff like that.

Definitely box legends. Definitely professor (since they'll likely show choosing the starters). Most likely one gym leader, at least, to introduce the return of gyms and show how they've been enhanced. I'm guessing the grass gym leader, since that gym was featured in the announcement video.
