As a fellow Colosseum/XD fan I approve this message. Though it has recently come to my attention that very few people played those games. And apparently among those who did play them many didn't even like them. So while its disappointing I suspect we're not getting anything connected to Collosseum for a very long time, if every.
That’s a really big shame :( I for one found them refreshing especially in the era where Pokémon were either pixelated sprites or part of stadium which really didn’t have a storyline. I guess now that most Pokémon are rendered in 3D that’s not as special anymore...but I’ll still hope the games can make a return. The purification mechanic and double battles and making due with a limited set of obtainable Pokémon were all attractive features at least to me.

I'm glad tpc is not taking orders from you.

Sorry, it's just how I feel. I'd like GF and the Pokemon Company to try something else or develop something new, MD got a lot of games but about Snap? Puzzle League? Ranger? Conquest? Those deserve another chance in the spotlight too.

Detective Pikachu Switch-Nope, it wouldn't make sense marketing wise even if it's released right away, it has been 3 weeks since the movie's release.
Let's Go DLC-It seems like the kind of game with they would approach the idea first, but I have my doubts as the game hasn't even received QoL improvements (other than glitches) since the release. Also, it seems more like a Pokemon Direct/E3 announcement.
New live-action movie-It feels kinda early, as we got the first "official" announcement of Detective Pikachu until august of last year, but I guess it could happen.

My partner and I enjoyed Colosseum/XD A LOT so I would love to see something similar be in the development for game but sadly I don't think it will happens.

GF doesn't develop the Mystery Dungeon games? Those are done by Spike Chunsoft.
MD got a lot of games but about Snap? Puzzle League? Ranger? Conquest?
Snap-Developed by HAL Laboratory and Pax Softnica
Puzzle League-Developed by Nintendo Software Technology
Ranger-Developed by Creatures
Conquest-Developed by Tecmo Koei

I agree that it'd be great to get sequels for these games, too, but they're all done by different companies. Skipping out on Mystery Dungeon wouldn't really make it any more likely for them to develop sequels.

I actually didn't know that, honestly. Guess that makes sense, I kinda remember Stadium and Snap having the HAL thing but it's been many years. Anyway, you do get what I mean right? MD has tons of games compared to the rest the list.

I get wanting to see other games get more sequels, but I don't get why that would have to come at the expense of more MD games? XD and Red/Blue Rescue Team released in the same year in Japan, and R/BRT released in the same year as the first Ranger game in the US. (only a month apart, actually) Shadows of Almia and Explorers of Time/Darkness released in the same year in the US. If those games can still be popular while releasing so close to MD games, and they're developed by different studios, then there's no reason why another MD game would prevent them having a sequel.

Thanks for clarifying, I would not consider a press conference to be the same as a business strategy meeting. But I guess it could easily be a lost in translation sort of a thing.
It's a press conference/business strategy presentation.

Didn't say they don't deserve.. but the mystery dungeon are really good and sell pretty decent. last one came 4 years ago. it's about time we get new one.

Depends, if PMD's going to be shunted off to mobile like all Pokemon spin-offs are now, then I would very much prefer it stay dead
The good thing is that Mystery Dungeon (in general) is one of those series I don't see working for mobile, unless it's a paid (and complete) game like Final Fantasy Dimensions was.

What do you mean by new ventures? I mean, a live action sequence (if it be a sequence) could not be considered as a new venture anymore. And Pokémon Quest was just a common spin-off. Not sure if it was a new venture.
Go and LGPE were new ventures that required clarifications. You're right that Quest wasn't very special (although it was the first Pokemon spin-off game developed by Game Freak). A new live action movie wouldn't be a new venture, but the timing for an announcement is appropriate now that Detective Pikachu has proven to be a decent success (and it was announced 3 years ahead of its release, so another movie announcement wouldn't be too early).

So maybe my argument about PMD not being new doesn't stand if the main focus is the DeNA title anyway, but I just don't see what an early announcement would achieve... Unless it's a mobile game as those lack rigid promotion/release rules.

I get wanting to see other games get more sequels, but I don't get why that would have to come at the expense of more MD games?
Because TPCi aren't desperate for console games apart from the main series ones. These days, they pick one or maybe two seemingly lucrative options per generation.

I'm personally up for anything that involves exploring the Pokemon world from a different angle than the main series, without silly gimmicks like Ranger's. That also rules out PMD because a Pokemon-only world (shere just about every Pokemon talks) and dungeon crawl gameplay just don't appeal to me.

It seems odd that Kalos is the only Region that never has a Legendary Trio of their own, like the Legendary Birds, Legendary Beasts, Legendary Titans, Lake Guardians and Forces of Nature. Well, they have, The Swords of Justice, only they're part of the Unova Dex.

Gen 1: Legendary Birds
Gen 2: Legendary Beasts
Gen 3: Legendary Titans
Gen 4: Lake Guardians
Gen 5: Forces of Nature
Gen 6: Swords of Justice
Gen 7: Island Guardians

I wonder of what Legendary Trio of Quadro Galar will have? Sounds to me like what the twitter describes will be a bigger game than what the 3DS have.

Hate to break it to you, but Kalos has the Aura trio in Xerneas, Yveltal and Zygarde. Swords of Justice aren't Kalos', they're Unova's Legendaries.

I know what you mean, since the basis of the Swords of Justice is the French book "The three musketeers", by Alexandre Dumas.

But the reality is that they are Unova Pokémon, not Kalos related at all, even though it seems more thematically accurate to place them in Kalos.

Don't read into hype. SM's "it all comes together!" was less vague than Ohmori having a dream, but it still didn't amount to much.
