I'm a democratic socialist but not interested in communism and honestly this is getting weird here I'm scared

Okay anyway

How many pokemon do you think we're getting on the 29th/30th, if any? I'm expecting official reveals of yamper and impidimp, and maybe the squirrel thing. And then 2-3 besides those, or instead of those.

The side activity I am really interested in, is the return of Secret Bases.

If that is too much to ask, then Game Freak, could you at least reintroduce Room Customisation? It was one of the nicest features in GSC, and was basically the precursor of Secret Bases...

...somehow I forgot about that feature even though it was one of the greatest things.

100% yes, I want to be able to arrange plushies around a room again. The Switch is powerful enough, maybe we can get some shelves and finally be able to put all of them on display instead of just a few. Heck, I'll take any feature that lets me collect and display as many pokedolls as possible. Or make it part of HOME.

Geez, can we stop asking for features to be in Home if they're not gonna be in SwSh already?

That's like going to a pizzeria and buying a pizza, to then say "Oh, and if you didn't put toppings on the pizza because it's faster to make it without, just give the toppings to me in a bag, I'll eat them separately"

Man, imagine if we could buy a whole little house in SwSh to decorate like animal crossing or skyrim.

Obviously, very unlikely.
But I can dream.
Didn't Platinum allow you to buy a house (for the gym leader rematches)? So it was a thing once. I don't remember how customisable (if at all) it was, though....

No, a random guy gave you a house. It's not used for the rematches, that's what the café in the Survival Area is for. But you can buy things for it and have NPCs visit your house.

Well, okay, I was quite off there, but you still got a house at least. xD

I think in Pokemon this "own house" thing doesn't really work because technically your house is with your mom. But secret bases are very welcome to return, tbh.

I mean... why not, if they wind up sticking to this "we're cutting pokemon out of the games" policy. If HOME is going to be the main base for collecting and interacting with your pokemon, then give us a few fun little things to do with them there so it's less grating that we can't take them out into the main games to play with them proper. Not saying that it's ideal, but... it is an option.

Admittedly, SwSh doesn't appeal to me right now so if HOME proves to be secure enough and cheaper than having to buy a $60 game plus a Switch (and an online subscription), then I'd probably just skip the games and start hoarding pokemon in HOME instead. Because I don't even own a Switch yet, but I do have a phone... pretty clear to me why mobile games have become such a prominent thing.

Besides, it kind of makes sense that if they added pokedoll collecting to the games (and I mean... more prominently than it's ever been) then you should totally be able to store and display them in HOME where you keep your non-plush pokemon collection too. Home is usually where you keep your things anyway.

But then again, I just really like to collect stuff, which is why I strongly disagree with the whole Dexit thing.

"HOME sweet HOME". (y)

Idk why I was so obsessed with this, but I want the yarn mini game from Amie to return. I had a good thing going there.
I loved the puzzle game- I got really good at the hard puzzles, I think I completed one in under 12 seconds once.

I'd love to see some sort of customization feature like Secret Bases, Ball Capsules, or dressing up Pokemon to make a return- I still feel like they could make some simple accessories like bows and let us stick them to a couple specific areas on each Pokemon, especially since the Pokedex will be reduced in this game.

Really though, anything like the Pokeathlon making a return would make me the happiest. I loved those games, and I feel like there's fun ways minigames could be implemented on a Switch even if its not touch screen focused.

Apparently the Dynamax Pokemon literally explodes when knocked out... I just witnessed a Dynamax Yamper suicide-bombing itself when defeated...

I guess that’s where Dyna comes from.

*In case anyone wants to see the explosion
I think I’m slightly traumatised.

Wow, that looks awesome. It's like one of those over the top anime/movie explosions.

I don't think it will, at least until gamefreak or TPC formally addresses it in a satisfactory way.

It kinda seems like the straw that broke the camels back for a laarrrgeeee portion of the fanbase
There is little to no way to address it that way. Unless it's exactly what people want, they'll just be mad at em forever. And even then I doubt they can guarantee that.

well imo if they were to say something like "we've heard your complaints and we plan on adding pokemon via patches after launch" a significant amount of people would be less upset.

More likely I see a "we will reconsider not having every pokemon available for generation 9" situation but I still think knowing that we will have future titles with all pokemon in them again would be reassuring for some people

I dunno, I think more details on HOME could chill a good portion of people... if they're satisfactory enough.

Or maybe that's just me, because I'm feeling chill about it thinking about what HOME could be and waiting to see if it is. If it isn't, then I guess the grump continues. XD
