"We are a group of friends who are “insiders” or know insiders. Yes, this sound vague, but we honestly do not know all the information yet, or are still trying to understand what we do know so please bear with us. I know you’ll love some real information as well :)

-Year of Mewtwo is a thing for a reason, catch the Mewtwo from Let’s Go because it will get special treatment in Sword and Shield
-Pay attention to Mewtwo Strikes Back: Evolution advertisements. Especially coming up soon!
-Something(we are not sure yet)+Mewtwo >fusion >Armored Mewtwo (I’m not a fan of armored evolution in theory either, but I’m told it will be quite cool)
-Luxray, Roserade, Staraptor, and Lucario will also get special treatment, but those should be available in Sword and Shield unlike Mewtwo
-Notice the promotion for Lets Go recently? The community will not be happy to why that is in a month or two. People who don’t have Let’s Go will be excluded from something very special. (It’s not Meltan/Melmetal)
-CoroCoro is already relevant so far, it will only get more so
-Geri and Freki (sorry if I misspell) is definitely the basis. We have heard nothing about a metal snake or wooden horse, but we do not know everything of course.
-Not sure yet, this is one of the rougher areas. Kalos may play a role. Not sure if it is callback to story elements (AZ is being thrown around the most) or actual visitation, but we agree it is most likely just callback to the Kalos story.
-“Fusion” is being thrown around, but we are not sure if that is the real name. That symbol on the Japanese logo is not just the gyms.

Just a reminder that we have only a rough idea on what we have already told you even if some minor details could be wrong. Be on the watch for that Mewtwo promotion, social media is going to blow up when it happens! Some content creators have recieved this informatiom, but noone has covered it.
Thank you for your time!:) "

I will point out there has been quite the variety of Let's Go ads on twitter, but that could just be milking the game before Sword and Shield come out.

Wouldn't a special variable marking the Mewtwo as being from Let's Go already be discovered by now? LGPE's been datamined to heck.

Didn't we already see the cover with absolutely nothing? Or did I imagine that?

lol, I'm sure.

lol, I'm sure.
There might be some transfer system when the games come out before there's a bank system. Also I think he's hinting towards future corocoro issues that'll give more info

Maybe, but then how would that transfer system tell the difference between a Go Mewtwo and a LGPE Mewtwo?

He said it was "already relevant so far", though.

I believe that there's going to be a special Mewtwo distribution in Let's Go as a tie-in to the movies. It honestly wouldn't surprise me if that specific Mewtwo is going to be special.

At first in the trailer, when I saw the first city seen from route 1 I thought there was a possibility, then I saw these two frames and in my mind the possibilities were gone. The camera here is almost 100% fixed.

I don't know about camera controls being there but there could be areas with full control and some with limited control because of the environments.

I think they chose to to match the simple and fast style of the 2D main series games. I think it's good for the majority of single player, but I wish the more dynamic style would return for gyms, multiplayer, battle frontier, battle royal etc. With them using stadiums as gyms now, it would be very fitting. I also miss BR's water animations.
If they bring back physical contact animations from BR, I hope they touch them up, cos honestly, Stadium's air punches were much more compelling than my Lucario slowly walking up and gently kneeing the opponent with an "Iron Tail" (I also liked the way steel moves turned the pokemon completely metal for the attack in Stadium 2, as opposed to BR giving them a grayish tint)

The physical fighting contact moves are the same in the stadiums as well, as seen in the Lucario vs Tyranitar in the trailer.

Just re-watched the trailer since I had forgotten. It looks like there's a bit more detail than the 3DS games, but it's still disappointing they're still keeping the 3DS style.

BTW, am I the only one who thinks Let's Go looks miles better aesthetically than SwoShi?

You are not the only one. I definitely prefer the LGPE art style and graphics. They are a lot more "comfy" and enjoyable for me.

LGPE's artstyle is charming in its own right, but I don’t think it should be the way the series moves forward. SS looks just fine imo, building up from the SM artstyle.
LGPE looks a bit too XY-esque for my liking, and some areas looked way too small, but maybe it had more to do with Kanto itself.

Pokemon physically moving towards their opponent was something I wished (and was perfectly reasonable) to happen.
It’s a bit more work, but they’ve got all the models, so just add the particular (generic) way a Pokemon should move to execute the move into the animation, with specialised animations for only exceptional Pokémon with different body structures.

My point was that these issues that you have with it are so minuscule that they don't affect the overall quality of a game's graphics. Odyssey does not have bad graphics just because some cacti in the distance don't have shadows, or because a building doesn't have a super high-render building texture.

What? Literally nothing in my posts discussed these looking different on handheld.

  1. Yes, people can think that comparisons don't always work. For example, someone could think it was fair to compare the animation style in Gravity Falls to that of the Simpsons, because both are cartoons, but that same person could also think it was unfair to compare the paranormal element in Gravity Falls to that of the Simpsons, because the Simpsons isn't primarily about the paranormal. It's not contradictory to look at multiple aspects of something.
  2. These forums are not a hivemind. I am making my arguments independent of other people. Another user saying you shouldn't have compared Pokemon to BotW on one thing has absolutely no bearing on what arguments I make in a different discussion. (And nobody's "screaming that Pokemon isn't BotW"-don't assume bad faith)
Nobody said anything about you having to like them. The issue is that when Knightwolf asked what was wrong with the graphics (and when other users have asked in the past), you responded with these very specific issues, and used them to judge the whole game's graphics. You've even stated that your opinion of them is fact.

And you've made several rude comments to other users for disagreeing with you.

If these graphics aren't to your taste, that's fine. You don't need a reason to personally dislike something. But when you're telling people that the graphics are objectively terrible because of minor flaws, you can't expect everyone to agree, and that doesn't give you a right to be rude about it.
  • They are minuscule from your point of view. In the ensemble there are plenty of things (textures, shadows, 3ds style), so it's still a problem for me.
  • You said that since some details are really small they didn't have to care making them high-res. This is why I said you assumed no one was going to play these games on a big tv. Have you seen the trailer on a big fhd tv? I did.
  • If the comparison is a good thing for you then: "Breath of the wild has a huge 3D open world, 100% explorable. Mario has an open map, fully explorable in 3D. Botw and Mario have a moving camera. Botw has proper home console art style and graphics. Botw has an incredible difficulty level. Botw has voice acting", when Pokemon has all this, you can definitively make the comparison about the flaws. Because I think you need to respect the hard work of people and the people behind these games made a huge work, so, here, I can say "Ok, it doesn't matter if a cactus has no shadow".
  • What's rude in saying that I need anything but my eyes to see the engine looks just like the 3ds? It's the truth.
  • As I said to others, if you like the graphics, fine. But I have reasons to not like them as much as you do. Stop acting like if it's my imagination:

Probably graphics are not a big deal for you as they are for me.

I am not sure if I would even buy such a game (it will depend on the content it offers, so most likely no), but I can't wait for a Let's Go Johto game to be made, just so I can enjoy the fantastic art style, graphics and overworld Pokémon of LGPE in my favourite region Johto***.

SwSh looks good but, personally, I prefer the less realistic and more charming art style of LGPE, probably because it reminds me of the earlier generations.

(***Johto is my co-favourite region along with Hoenn, but I don't expect Let's Go games to continue after Johto, so...)

Hope only the new water starter will learn
beak blast with that cool looking horn, would make sense to fight bugs and maybe power whip with it's tongue? That design with tail and horn drama is great
and no ice type moves. Its a chameleon .

Ice type moves are actually useful on a water starter. SE against grass/dragon/ground/flying which are among the most common types in competitive not counting that grass is a weakness of water, so it's good it could counter it.
For example, in gen 4 even if Empoleon was weak to both Torterra and Infernape, it was also super effective to both thanks to moves coverage. Ice Beam can ohko Torterra, which is slower, and Hydro Pump can ohko Infernape, which, however, is faster. So they are kinda balanced even if they are not.

I think that this is fake. Mewtwo from LGPE has no special qualities. Also, All of those Pokemon that they said would get special treatment are Gen 4 Pokemon, and it would make more sense to give them special treatment in the remakes instead. Also, CoroCoro is not relevant, and I don't think that it will unless they go back to releasing the games in Japan a year before the rest of the world, and I highly doubt they would do that.
