I was going to say that their tweets were made after the information given by King Zell (Feb 8).

But they gave some exclusive information (which King Zell had not mentioned before). And predicted the exact time of Tree Houses in the Diret (5 minutes). It sure was something beyond fan guesses.

But do they actually know anything about Pokémon, or are just saying what they think?

This person is really confuse apparently. He knows something but I wouldn't rely too much on him/her about pokemon news.

Maybe they do not want to draw attention to themselves. They asked if they had been discussed anywhere due to the surge in questions.

All the reputable sources seem to be atleast confident that the announcement is coming soon.

The probability of all of them having misplaced confidence is pretty unlikely, specially when what they’re saying aligns with Gamefreak marketing strategies.

Yes, it is cofirmation bias.



Like in this image that was being discussed. People have said that 226 (candies) could mean a hint regarding the 26th.

The image presents many numbers, which if it were an intentional hint by Masuda, could mean a lot of things and dates.

Like, the CP (199) could mean February 19th? The weight (4.16) could mean April 16? The height (0.33) could mean March 3rd?

But people usually ignore all that, and only look for what interests them and confirms their own speculations.

I was more addressing the May theories. You’d have to have a really warped concept of time to consider May 'soon' in February in the context of a yearly franchise.

That timestamp reads 2/14 for me, and even accounting for timezones, it couldn't be posted 2/16. At the latest, it'd be 2/15, which is 11 days before 2/26.

• Speaking of blurred numbers, you can see the blur effect on 226-if he wanted it to be seen, why would he make it less clear than the unnecessary bits?
• None of Masuda's past hints involved numbers or dates-he's always hinted at titles. (Masuda's hints about LGPE had Pikachu and Eevee as the main focus, and his SuMo tweet was entirely about the sun and moon.)

It's not the topic themselves, most don't know how to debate. It's something most people don't have in the general community.

The community is thirsty for news, until we see actually get confirmation and news, all we have is to speculate based off coincidences and patterns like this Masuda tweet. Time will tell if this is a pattern or a coincidence when the 26th shows up.

What if weedle is a hint towards the two new Eeveelutions? The anime has hinted at a bug eeveelution and some other little hints about a bug type, we were also supposed to get a poison eeveelution in gen 2. Maybe seeing the good response that some of the old Pokemon that were never released got made them decide to add some of them.
