I mean, if Nintendo’s name was on the domain registration then they would’ve just blatantly confirmed the leak. Not surprising that it’s not there imo. They were trying to be as stealthy as they can (under these circumstances at least)

What's your point? Eddie Fernandez wasn't from Nintendo, but the domain was used by them. For the new domains, there is no indication that any random person was involved.

I remember way back when Eddie Fernandez was used to discredit XY's existance.

Seems pretty funny now.

I don't remember the domain coming up at all. Everyone seemed surprised when XY were announced, but maybe some people had known about the titles and dismissed them.

@Unown Seer, it came up like first thing after the sudden direct. People went looking for info, found the domain, and saw it was registered to someone else at one point.

@Unown Seer, beta titles. Like how Pokemon 2 was for Gold and Silver. Because they were also the first non-color names so people were kind of suspicious if the titles were final or not.

In the United States, it's pretty common for corporate entities to use "shell companies" such as LLC entities to register trademarks and so forth.

So Nintendo using CSC to register domains is not surprising. It's a way to register a trademark without immediately bringing attention (or in this case, a ton of attention) to yourself.

@Cute Charm That's a bit odd if you ask me. As far as I know, Pocket Monsters 2 wasn't a beta title so much as a shared title for Gold and Silver, which were revealed at the same time (March 1997, I believe). Plus, those games were delayed and had numerous things changed about them, but there was no reason to suspect that about XY.

Well we got this week coming and the last couple of days left before June so we'll eventually see if there's gonna be a reveal this month or not but with all the Pikachu and Eevee push I'd be shock if there isn't at this point.
