Because like I said before, I didn't want a Mythical. Or anything usual for Game Freak to reveal. I wanted to be surprised, to see something different, specially after seeing how lackluster was Zeraora, who doesn't have anything special aside from existing, and even then it's just another Lucario clone.

Lucario, Zoroark, and Slyveon weren't mythical Pokemon, nor was Togepi, Elekid, Lugia, Slowking, Ledyba, Marill, Kecleon, Latias, Latios, Wailmer, Blaziken, Weavile, Bonsly, Mime Jr, Munclax, Helioptile, Gogoat, Noivern....

G.F is many things, but I feel they do learn from past issues: see Zoroark and Zorua.

Well, one Pokemon isn't enough to convince people to get the games. There's a reason why they revealed more Pokemon as time went on during past generations' buildup.

Where are you getting these rumors? I searched for Diamane and couldn't find any pages talking about a Pokemon like that. (Diamane is just the French word for diamond, too-it's a little uncreative as a name choice)

Maybe if the multigenerational Norse mythology theory is true, then Diancie, Magearna, and one other... Represent the 3 Norns. Maybe Diamane is the third?
