Official Pre-Pokémon Sword & Pokémon Shield Speculation & Leaks thread

This thing with the picture reminds me of when a screenshot from USUM was leaked online before the following trailer had come out. It was a screenshot of the male character standing just outside the door of the Alola Photo Club building (can't remember what city).

Just a quick heads up about linking to 4chan that we've been wanting to continue. Posting screenshots is fine, but that site really isn't something we want to to affiliate ourselves with due to porn and such.

WOW, if that is true then April will be big and 2018 will really be the Pokémon year.

EDIT: It's most probably fake in my opinion.

There is no way they'd release that many spinoffs AND a main series title in the same year, unless some of that has to do with their app games, which are directly updated to include new pokemon. As for the site thing, I've inspect elemented a number of things on the official site that could've been the origin for that code. I couldn't find what that code was copied from.

EDIT: Oh, there's a message in there pretty much saying it's fake anyway. I think I still found where the code was copied from anyway.

ADMIN NOTE:
Quick clarification on the 4Chan thing from before, if y'all want to post screenshots from 4Chan that's ok, assuming they align with our rules and standards. But we would prefer you not post links to 4Chan threads so we're not sending users to places that are completely clash with our policies.

I know that Pokejungle is pretty infamous for rumors and clickbait, but this particular situation is kinda peculiar. The images must be convincing enough that they're not wanting to risk cease and desist letters from Ninjas (again) in case they might actually be real.

That last bit about a character traveling down a familiar route sounds really interesting, since there's been multiple rumors insinuating a return to Kanto in some shape or form.

Oh man- it has just occurred to me that Kanto without a fixed camera (and the expected massive redesign a remake would get to make it look like an actual natural place and not RPG ledge puzzle land) would feel incredibly different. I would actually probably enjoy Kanto for the first time if they made the world feel like basically a new region in the attention to detail and lived-in feeling they could bring to it, and a simple change in perspective (ha) could do a lot to freshen it up.

The biggest danger of losing the fixed camera, to me anyway, would be navigation- Even once I knew everything of interest in Lumiose City, I constantly felt lost and confused every time I had to navigate it, and thats the only place in Pokemon I can think of that doesn’t have a fixed camera view. (it would also be that much more work to design, since everything would have to look polished from multiple angles)

You know what offends me, as basically the top staff member of Bulbagarden? This kind of post, and the people who are out of their mind enough to like it, despite the previous public notice about liking bullying post.

Even if your accusations were true (and moderators have repeatedly reviewed the user in question's post, and concluded the accusations aren't true, that they're by and large whining by people who get upset that the user keeps disagreeing with them), that kind of post wouldn't be justified or ever justifiable. It's pure flaming, from one end to the other. It has no place in this thread. It has no place on this forum. It has no place being made by anyone with a shred of human decency.

This is a warning to every last user posting in this thread, or who might some day post in it. The staff is heartily sick of people abusing the reporting system to report perfectly fine post by one user because the people doing the reporting can't handle someone disagreeing with them. We're even sicker of having to come in this thread every few week to deal with high school-grade bullies ganging up on a user for the crime of having unpopular opinions. Neither behavior is acceptable. And we're done playing around with this mess - since you guys didn't take any of the previous warnings seriously, we're going to get a little bit more serious, this time around. What's happening here is called harassment, and it has no place on Bulbagarden.

Allow me to illustrate with specific examples (we don't usually do this, but in this case, a public demonstration is called for):

Lavandula, for making the above post despite several warnings in this thread about bullying, and for being a key part of the abuse and harassment of this user, is getting an Abuse and Harassment warning, worth 10 points (which will result in an automatic ban. The exact duration will depend on their infraction history.).

Spaghettles, Adnachiel, KikiWitch, SodiumChloride and PkmnTrainer V, for liking the above post after being previously warned about liking bullying posts in this thread (about two weeks ago), are each getting an Abuse and Harassment warning, worth 10 points (which will likewise result in an automatic ban. The exact duration will depend on their infraction history)

Pokespecture, DanBulls, TheMonster6893, Hana Midorikawa, SushiPushi, Titofox, Tuoko, BluefireJay, Thanos, Jack1234, Ambrose7, Cotton, Plubio, Defiant and Dotamin, for liking the above post despite the public notice about liking bullying post, are getting a Flaming warning, worth 5 points (which may or may not result in a ban, depending on infraction history).

From here on out, anyone we catch continuing this bullying campaign (whether by making posts against the user in question) is getting a full abuse and harassment infraction. If they're repeat offenders, that will be aggravated abuse and harassment, and likely outright permanent bans. We're done giving you chances. Now you will straighten up, or you will get out.

We should lock the thread (like the last one :( ) and establish some sort of council of leakers to overview leaks, analyze and categorize them, and try to clear up any misconceptions.

This would solve a number of things,

1: No more arguing about wether something is good or not

2: No more personal opinions

And my personal favorite,

3: NO MORE MISINFORMATION,

Because it is just the worst.

First time I played XY I went in and out the same building at Lumiose 3 times.
I wish I could be kidding, that place was nice on paper but with a nighmare-ish execution.

@VelVoxelRaptor Then where would we go to discuss things then? :( I don’t want harassment to continue either, and I think we all need to work to maintain patience and respect towards each other, especially during this dry period of no news, but isn’t a lot of the fun in speculation? I like seeing other people’s opinions, even if I don’t always agree with them- other people might know something about the potential legitimacy that I don’t and that can help me decide whether I think a leak is plausible or not.
