Well to my friends in europe, there is not much sense to stay awake till then, as there won‘t be any live streaming thing, just information released online. So get your sleep and wake up resfreshed with some Pokemon Information waiting for you.

To be fair I was gonna stay up to that late either way because I've work to do.

As for the expectations thing based on what that guy said, the theory that it’s about the new Gen happening in 2019 seems like a good one.

I do wonder, if that’s true, about the reason for not having the new Gen starting right this year.

If I had to guess, the spin-off game is probably for 3DS. Maybe a mystery dungeon or that kind of thing.
I can't see two different Pokemon games coming out for the Switch in the same holiday season, but I could see
them doing the Switch game and an accompanying 3DS game.
