As long as "mystery secrets" end up being actually something interesting. Maybe it's because I got cynical, but the last times the secrets were underwhelming (thanks to the dataminers, mostly). I hope I'm wrong about this.
They will because the Movie's true marketing ploy has yet to be revealed.

I think the last movie of a gen always has a lead in to the next gen. However, none of the movies of this gen had stuff revealed on February, it was always April.

I believe Magearna and Mewtwo Y where revealed in February. December and Febuary seems to always feature movie news, at least on a new Gen.

Alright, even though there are a lot of Mewtwo merchandise coming in, Shaymin is getting merchandise attention too. It seems that Gen 7 merchandise is getting to its final ones and making way for Gen 8 merchandise. But the fact that Shaymin is getting merchandise again makes me excited for Gen 8.

Yes, but this time there is a slight difference, because they didn't need to market the current game previously, since Gens 5 and gens 6 where already in their final year and BW2 was a third installment (Meaning its Unova, meaning it doesn't have to be heavily marketed) and their was a gap year in 2015, meaning nothing needed to be marketed.

Hey, I found more possible starter artwork from the usual place.

If we're still talking about these 'leaks', they are 100% fake. Not only is it easy to tell by the artwork, the Japanese is so obviously made with some kind of translator. It's almost painful how unnatural the choice of words, the sentence structure and the handwriting is.

Either way, I don't think any 'leak' that comes out before the second half of January has an ounce of credibility. At least it can serve as food for speculation.

What exactly does it seems like since we can't read really read it?

For one, the handwriting is extremely stiff. If you compare it to actual concept art, you'll see that the characters of the real thing are much less defined and more round in shape. That's because it's written in a naturally flowing way. You don't necessarily need to understand Japanese to see the difference, especially in this case. For example, put this concept art of Rowlet side-by-side with any of the fake ones and you'll know what I'm talking about.

Clearly, the text was written by someone who's not used to writing in Japanese, likely directly copying the characters from their computer screen. I hope that people will look out for this kind of easily noticeable flaw from now on, as it could immediately invalidate many fake leaks in the future!

Secondly, the Japanese text is obviously translated directly from English with a machine. Most of the text, though written in Japanese characters, is idiomatically and grammatically completely incorrect. This is harder to explain to those who don't understand Japanese, but I'll try to give you an idea. An obvious example is in the bottom left text of the Fire starter. The text says: "首から火が来る kubi kara hi ga kuru", which is a literal translation of the English sentence "fire comes from the (its) neck". The problem here is that this sounds extremely weird in actual Japanese. The verb 来る kuru, meaning "to come", is never used in this kind of context with the noun 火 hi, meaning fire. 来る gives the suggestion of physical travel from one point to another, which makes no sense in this context.

This all looks even worse if you know that there is perfectly normal verb 燃える moeru, meaning "to burn", could've easily been used here instead. Like I said, as most of the text is riddled with mistakes like these, it becomes very obvious for anyone with a little knowledge about Japanese. I hope you enjoyed this little language lesson c;

Thank you, I provided a translation a little while back. I noted the use of kuru as questionable, but I'm still very new to learning so its nice to have someone give a proper explanation and confirmation. May I ask you if I was also right in assuming that the use of ai suru is also awkward?

You're absolutely right! The verb 愛する ai suru, meaning "to love", rarely ever gets used. The meaning is so strong that is almost exclusively used between very intimate lovers, and even then it's not common. A typical example of a literal machine translation that is used in the completely wrong context.

As you've mentioned before, one would normally use the adjectives 好き suki, simply meaning "to like", 大好き daisuki, which means the same thing but with a stronger feeling. An alternative is the phrase 気に入る ki ni iru, which again has the same meaning, though the feeling isn't as strong as with 好き or 大好き. You could use 気に入る when describing how Ash' Rowlet has taken a liking to Ash' backpack, for example.

Good luck with your studies btw :3

Honestly you've got me interested, what would the appropriate writing look like?

Well, the original sentence itself is so far from correct Japanese that it would be easier to just rewrite the entire thing. As is it is それは花を愛する sore wa hana wo aisuru literally translates to: "that (thing) loves flowers", which sounds awkward even in English...

If it's already clear what the topic is, Japanese sentences don't necessarily require a subject. Thus, it could simply be rewritten as 花が気に入る hana ga ki ni iru, which translates to something like "(it) likes flowers" or "(it) takes a liking to flowers".

I just got confirmation from my source at Gamefreak that the next game is going to be something like a dual third version of LGPE but without the Pokemon Go catching mechanics and the return of abilities and hold items. Oh and Johto is accessible too! They'll come with mega evolutions and z-moves for some Gen 2 Pokemon. It's not a remake of GS though. You just continue directly after you complete the first game. Something to do with Mina.

I'm going to analyze this as best I can, but don't expect the result to be true:

Unfortunately, yet another tropical region judging from the environment, the flower and the coconut.

A chameleon Pokemon who uses its tail to generate its electric powers, if the tail isn't able to generate said powers, it will detach.

Some kind of genetic manipulation occurs in the region, possibly on a tree-like Grass-type Pokemon.

The region is set somewhere close to the first four Pokemon regions, possibly closest to Hoenn given the tropical climate.

A new fish Pokemon is going to be the common Water-type of the region.

Well, that's all I could do to analyze, do I think this is true? I don't think so, they aren't going back to Japanese-based regions from the looks of how new generations seem to go to different continents.

That's an iguana, not a chameleon

Hmmm biggest thing I notice are the igauna and I think is a spiral markhor goat horn. Hmm, seeing the flower as well, I think I know what these things are hinting at.
