OP_GO_LatAm.pngThe Pokémon Company International have announced that Play! Pokémon events at local retailers in Latin America will now also include officially sanctioned events for Pokémon GO, on top of the existing Pokémon Trading Card Game events already being held at these retailers.

The announcement specifically notes two levels of Pokémon GO events that will be held at game stores hosting these Play! Pokémon events:
  • Pokémon GO League Challenges: Entry-level tournaments intended to serve as an introduction to competitive battling fundamentals
  • Pokémon GO League Cups: Tournaments offering an opportunity to earn Championship Points
Players can find scheduled events near them via the Event Locator on Pokémon.com. This list is updated constantly as new events are announced by retailers and local leagues, so be sure to keep checking back on a regular basis.
