An ORAS sequel appeared in my dream, so I’m doing some concepts for it, Wynaut? This is a personal project of mine.

  • The game is set 10 years after the original events in ORAS.
  • There are new protagonists in the game. They are teenagers (16-17).
  • There are new Pokemon introduced in the game that weren’t in Hoenn before.
  • Battle Frontier is coming back. The Frontier Brains get some slight redesigns too.
  • There is more information about the Sea Mauville.
  • Focuses on Rayquaza, but not in the same way as Emerald.
  • There is a new villain team that wants to use Rayquaza for its own purposes. What purposes? Well, I don’t know yet.
  • Rayquaza gets a new, corrupted form akin to Shadow Lugia. The “dark” Rayquaza looks way different than the normal Rayquaza like Mega Rayquaza does.
  • The new Rayquaza form is Dragon/Ghost.
  • The “final boss” isn’t the champion, but the boss of the new villain team. You fight the real champion post-game.
  • The new villain boss uses the corrupted Rayquaza in the final fight with you and it’s a hard fight, like Cynthia in DPPt.
  • The new villain boss is similar in design to Alhaitham from Genshin Impact/Su from Honkai Impact with some few differences. His personality is unknown as of now. He doesn’t have any connection to Maxie or Archie. His signature Pokemon is Flygon.
  • The admins for the new villain team are 1 guy and 1 girl, like in Magma and Aqua. I don’t have ideas for their designs or personalities yet.
  • Team Magma and Aqua still exist in the sequel, but in way different forms than in the originals. They have new leaders too, Tabitha is the new leader of Magma for example. Some of the members in both organizations have side jobs too. Tabitha is a Gym Leader for example (this appeared in my dream too).
  • The types of the Gym Leaders in the sequel are:
    • Fire
    • Fighting
    • Dark
    • Grass
    • Bug
    • Fairy
    • Ice
    • Water
  • The types of the Elite Four are:
    • Steel
    • Electric
    • Ghost
    • Dragon
  • The real champion uses various types.
  • The Gym Leaders, E4 and the champion are mostly new people with few exceptions.
  • There are new Mega Evolutions of Pokemon such as:
    • Flygon
    • Milotic
    • Ninetales
    • Togekiss
    • Breloom
    • Roserade
    • Weavile
    • Delcatty
    • Skarmory
    • Scolipede
    • Krookodile
    • Hydreigon
    • Carracosta
    • Archeops
    • Galvantula
    • Meowstic
    • Heliolisk
    • Zoroark
    • Noivern
    • Haxorus
    • Kingdra

  • Other than the Frontier Brains, Emerald-exclusive characters like Scott and Juan are in the Hoenn sequel.
  • Gym Leaders play a bigger role in the story than in ORAS.
  • Zinnia is one of the main characters.

Signature Pokemon of the E4:
  • Steel: Aggron
  • Electric: Manectric
  • Ghost: Banette
  • Dragon: Haxorus
I haven't decided the signature Pokemon for the champion yet. A little trivia, both Steel and Electric E4 are inspired by my OCs who don't have any relation to the Pokemon series.

I've decided the signature Pokemon for the champion and it's Hydreigon. A little trivia about the champion: his design is inspired by Mujin in the Chang Ge Xing manhua. The champion's Hydreigon might look scary, but it's actually like a labrador in terms of personality.

I've decided to remove Tate and Liza as Gym Leaders from this project. The reason being that I don't have any idea on how to design Mega Evolutions for Solrock and Lunatone, plus I'm not a fan of these Pokemon. The 7th Gym Leader is an Ice-type specialist with Weavile as their signature Pokemon.

I've also decided to replace the Fighting-type GL's ace with Breloom. I'm not a big fan of Medicham either.

Yeah, I'm using my favorites here, but most of the characters in the sequel are new people so they're my OCs.

I haven't posted in this thread for a while, but I've made a few sprites! I want to make the ORAS sequel project a real game in the future.
