The competition will be conducted as a Double Battle format using the Ranked Battles Series 12 regulations. Two Legendary Pokémon that are not usually permitted in competitive matches are allowed. One of your Pokémon will also be allowed to Dynamax or Gigantamax. Each Pokémon in your Battle Team must have the Galar symbol or battle-ready symbol. Duplicate Pokémon and duplicate items are not permitted. All Pokémon will be set to Lv. 50, including Pokémon below Lv. 50.
Eligible Legendary Pokémon (only two can be in a team)
Mewtwo, Lugia, Ho-Oh, Kyogre, Groudon, Rayquaza, Dialga, Palkia, Giratina, Reshiram, Zekrom, Kyurem, Xerneas, Yveltal, Zygarde, Cosmog, Cosmoem, Solgaleo, Lunala, Necrozma, Zacian, Zamazenta, Eternatus, and Calyrex.
Mythical Pokémon are not permitted in battle.
All other Pokémon from the Galar Pokédex, the Isle of Armor Pokédex, and the Crown Tundra Pokédex as well as certain other Pokémon are permitted.
Qualifying players who participate in at least three battles during the event will receive 50 Battle Points whether they win or lose. Competitors can also earn Championship Points for participating in this event.
To register for the competition and to view your rankings after the competition has ended, follow these steps:
- Launch your Pokémon Sword or Pokémon Shield game.
- Open the X menu.
- Select VS.
- Select Battle Stadium.
- Select Online Competitions.
- Select Search Official Competitions.
- Launch your Pokémon Sword or Pokémon Shield game.
- Open the X menu.
- Select Mystery Gift.
- Select Get a Mystery Gift.
- Select Get Battle Stadium Rewards.
