Participating retailers across Europe distributing free codes for Genesect, Volcanion, and Marshadow in Pokémon Sword and Pokémon Shield

Several stores across Europe are currently distributing free code cards that can be redeemed for Genesect, Volcanion, and Marshadow in Pokémon Sword or Pokémon Shield. No purchase is required for players to receive these codes, however supplies are limited, and they will only remain available until September 30th, or while stocks last. Each person can only receive one code card, and each code can only be used once.

As of writing, the distribution has been confirmed for the following stores and countries:
  • France - Micromania
  • Germany - GameStop
  • Ireland - GameStop
  • Italy - GameStop
  • Spain - GAME
  • United Kingdom - GAME
To claim your in-game gifts, follow these steps:
  1. Launch your Pokémon Sword or Pokémon Shield
  2. Select Mystery Gift on the X menu.
  3. Select Get a Mystery Gift.
  4. Select Get with Code/Password
  5. Enter your code and select OK.
  6. Watch as the gift arrives in your game.
  7. Be sure to save your game.
