Pasio Special Stadium - Vs Champion Red, Koga, Grimsley, Glacia, and Molayne
The Pokémon Masters EX 4th anniversary celebrations, as previewed in the recent monthly update from the game's developers, continue today with the launch of a brand new Pasio Special Stadium, as well as the debut of Leaf (Champion) & Moltres, the second of three new Neo Champion Master Sync Pairs who feature in the Neo Champions: Three Trainers, Three Minds event which started earlier this week.

Pasio Special Stadium - Vs Champion Red
The Pasio Special Stadium is a special, limited-time event in the Champion Stadium. It runs concurrently with the normal Champion Stadium challenges. During the event, players are challenged to battle against a mix of Elite Four and a Champion from different regions, with all five battles sharing one featured type weakness. In this latest Pasio Special Stadium, which will run until September 14th, at 10:59pm (PDT), players will challenge a team comprised of Koga, Grimsley, Glacia, and Molayne, lead by the recently released Champion Red, with all five of these trainers sharing the same Fire-type weakness.

The usual rules apply to the Pasio Special Stadium as to the normal Stadium with regards to restricting sync pairs after they are used to win a battle, special parameters, and the use of Master Mode options, although the Master Mode point rewards differ from in the normal Stadium.

To participate in the Champion Stadium, Trainers must have completed Main Story Chapter 10: A Reason to Battle (Normal) in single-player. To attempt the Pasio Special Stadium, players must also have completed the Champion Stadium Kanto Challenge on Normal difficulty. The Normal difficulty of the Kanto Challenge is always available, regardless of the current regional rotation of the Champion Stadium.

Leaf Master Fair Scout
Leaf (Champion) & Moltres debut in new Master Fair Scout

Leaf (Champion) & Moltres, who have a starring rule in the ongoing Neo Champions: Three Trainers, Three Minds event, are making their Pokémon Masters EX Debut in a limited-time Master Fair Scout. This scout is available in-game now, and will continue through to October 6th at 10:59pm (PDT). As usual for Master Fair Scouts, there is a 12% chance for 5★ Sync Pairs to appear in this scout.

Leaf in her 6★ EX outfit
This Master Fair-exclusive Sync Pair is being released with an expanded sync grid, as well as the ability to be raised to 6★ EX with an EX Role. Raising the pair to 6★ EX also unlocks a new outfit for Leaf, swapping the Black, Gold, and Orange Neo Champion outfit for a White, Orange, and Black one with highlights based on Moltres. Players who team up with this pair will also obtain a special Friend Snapshop that can be viewed in the Trainer Lodge.

The Leaf Master Fair Scout includes a daily discount, where players can perform a single scout for x100 paid gems. This daily discount can be used 1 time per day during the entire length of the scout. Additionally, the first five times players perform a Sync Pair Scout x11 for this scout, they will also receive the following bonus presents:
  • 1st Scout: Strike Move Candy Coin x1
  • 2nd Scout: 5★ Power-Up x2
  • 3rd Scout: Strike Move Candy Coin x1, Tech Move Candy Coin x1
  • 4th Scout: 5★ Power-Up x4
  • 5th Scout: Strike Move Candy Coin x1, Tech Move Candy Coin x1, Support Move Candy Coin x1
In addition, a Special Present! Leaf Master Fair Scout is also available, requiring paid gems. This scout gives the same rewards as the regular Leaf Master Fair Scout for the first five times players perform a Sync Pair Scout x11 for this scout. In addition, players who team up with Leaf (Champion) & Moltres in this scout will also receive a Support Roll Cake item, which is required to unlock their EX Role.

Leaf (Champion) & Moltres are a Fire-type Tech Sync Pair, whose boiling attacks weaken their opponent's resistance to Fire-type Moves along with their general stats. One of the pair's Passive Skills gives them the ability to reduce their opponent's Fire Type Rebuff by one rank the first time they use a Status Move, as well as the first time they use their Sync Move. Another Passive Skill meanwhile improves the effects of Leer, resulting in the move reducing Attack, Sp. Atk, and Sp. Def by one stat rank in addition to the usual reduction to Defense. In combination with their Fiery Wings Flare Blitz Buddy Move, which doubles the amount of lowered stats, they can truly debilitate the opposition. This Buddy Move has an additional effect of making the weather Sunny the first time it is used, setting off yet another Passive Skill, which prevents allies from being inflicted with any status conditions, flinching, becoming confused, or becoming trapped, making them a powerhouse on both attack and defense. It's little wonder with a move like this that their EX Role is Support! More information about this sync pair can be found in the preview video posted to the official Pokémon Masters EX YouTube channel, and on Bulbapedia.
