Night 3: Family Bonds

The Student Body Council met again within Enzap’s office. The humidity had risen considerably as it approached an intense summer midday. Maniacal Engineer had replaced his arm again with a robotic metal one, twisting it in regular intervals to test its durability. “I promise I didn’t do this to myself this time…”

He was swiftly ignored, and Enzap continued the meeting. “How did a bomb make its way into the most secure of the rooms?!”

“Maybe it wasn’t a bomb?” This logic annoyed people.

“In my previous experiences, it could have been planned quite easily. Someone who knew we were going in there could have planted it earlier. Who suggested that we split up?” The rest spoke with eyes and nodded in agreement.

Students clung to the lukewarm shields of glass stuck in the middle of each doorway. The student leaders followed their principal to the last room, bursting in for effect. Elementar looked up at them sympathetically, staring into each pair of eyes and implying that he wished they were okay.

“You can stop the act now. We know you’ve been behind this.”

“What?”

“Wrap his hands up in that rope. And get Pikochu. He’ll find that his assistant is assisting in other areas…” Despite Elementar’s protests, RC and Iteru tied his hands together and then to an uncomfortable chair. Its rear left leg was bent inwards, and the front right leg was an inch short. It squeaked tenderly and rocked violently as he struggled for freedom.

“You’re making a mistake!”

“Are we?”

Elementar’s eyes lost their focus and he ceased fighting. “Take me if you want. But promise me you’ll find the actual people behind this.”

“If you have more accomplices, we’ll find them.” Elementar drifted into a mental abyss and flopped his head down in defeat. His chair was dragged to the room where the bomb had taken ME’s arm, and was shoved into the back corner. Piko walked in, and remained standing at the door.

“I trusted you.”

“I did too.” Piko just sighed in confusion and leant back against the remaining collections of the door. “My advice, expect the most unlikely. That’s what I’ve learnt.”

Meanwhile, the sisters were discussing who could possibly be behind these attacks.

“Thankfully, we’re sisters, so we can trust each other right?” Feenie and FA nodded excitedly in agreement with Space’s statement.

“Yeah. We’re always in a team.” FA noticed that something was off about Feenie’s voice.

“How’d the bomb get in our room?” FA looked around absently, but with purpose.

“Elementar put here, didn’t he?” Again, more cracks arose from Feenie’s voice.

“Feenie… Don’t tell me…”

“Are… are you accusing me?”

“The bomb was placed as far away from us as possible.”

“Why couldn’t have been Space?”

“Tell me it wasn’t you.”

Feenie hesitated for an eternal 10 seconds, before revealing the truth. “Look, I did the best I could. I never meant for any of this-”

SoaringLooker thrust himself into the room. “We got you.” FA and Space looked hurtfully at their sister, who was now in handcuffs and being escorted from the room.

“I didn’t want to. I was forced… Please believe me!”

Since radio is also a form of radiation and radio is used to communicate, once per night phase you have the option to either spy all outside communication or silence a player for the phase. You can PM the hosts to spy where you get transcripts of all unsecured outside conversation that happened in the last day and night in the next day phase. You may also PM the hosts ‘Silence: [player]’ and that player will not be able to make communicate with any player through any means for the following day phase.

Note: You may not silence the same player for two day phases in a row. You can only spy or silence in each night phase. If you spy, all names will be omitted in transcripts.

alright now that that's out of the way, let me fill ya'll in. Since Ereshkigal is working or whatever, let me add some clarity to why I basically caught Feenie in a lie. Let's start by checking out my first post:

Not really! Even you shouldn't be giving out the old "ain't nobody in here yet" speech. I'm sure that you'll make sure everyone feels welcome and entertains you.

I do have reason to believe a cult exists in the game. Z-man...Everyone really. Review your RolePMs and take a close look at them because they may have wording that when combined with the rules, hint at some stuff we can try to actually get a little bit of hostility info out in the open for precautionary purposes.

I'm a Neighborizer aka a Neighborhood Leader. I can once per night "recruit" somebody into my neighborhood, which in no way is a cult or even alignment based. Eresh believes I'm town because my role is kinda pointless for scum, and I was inclined to agree, but with a Spy claim out in the open, and on me, he should've caught something, because on Night 2, I complained to Ereshkigal in my chatroom about how he wasn't saying anything. That counts as posting in the chatroom that would've been spied on, meaning that it would have definitely shown up on a Spy check (I asked the mods because I wasn't 100% sure).

I was kinda hot and bothered because I tried to recruit ME on Night 1(I crumbed that somewhere. If you want the crumb, go look for it), but got Ereshkigal instead, which I wasn't too thrilled about (which I also crumbed...go find it if you don't believe me). Hilariously, on Night 2, I ended up not even submitting an action because I didn't think it was of any value, since I had Ereshkigal who had been basically ignoring me for the duration of the game, and a Neighborhood is stupid when there's no alignment trust to be had so I didn't even give it a shot, BUT WITH A SPY CLAIM, that just took the cake. I still feel like it's relatively useless, but in this case, I'm certain that the claim is a fake used on me expecting NOTHING and hilariously, it backfired.

So why the fake of Unrecruitable? As far as I knew, I was the "recruiter" and I didn't expect any other kind of recruiter to exist...honestly, I still don't. If a Cult existed, this game would've been marked as a bastard game...same goes for Mafia Yakuza, so the whole bluff was to imply that I couldn't be recruited into Neighborhoods or Masonries which I didn't even know existed...FA threw his claim out and I was like omg and with the Masons I was like OMG.

ANYHOW, I can now express my frustration with the game IN PUBLIC FOR A BIT, GOD DAMNIT, and can say that this game has too much investigation, and that I'm super suspicious of a Role Cop existing in tandem with everything else especially flipped Cop!Zexy, but I'm not ready to drive the stake into that just yet as I wanna TALK.

HOWEVER, I'm driving home to get my daughter in about 30 seconds so I'll respond and ask when I get home or at least via mobile.

Okay, I promised an explanation... Elieson, I apologize for this.

Pretty much, Elieson is a recruiter. For a neighborhood. He's played this game as a Magnificent Bastard Mr. Rogers, with all of the motivations for helping the honest people that the living Mr. Rogers had.

Yeah, he's town. He's never had to confirm it to me; I figured it out Day 1 from how he brokered the deal with FA, fought to keep FA around, and then made certain we honor it. Plus, how hard he signalled Feenie, even at the risk of possible modkill for loophole abuse... He couldn't be any more town if he were wearing a neon sign saying "TOWNIE!" in all caps on his head, wearing a town suit, and doing the town dance in the middle of the town hall.

So, what confirmed it for me that he's town? Every single action he's taken since the game began.

So, why did I target him Day One like I did? To try to get people who were obviously Mafia to try to take advantage of a perceived rift within the town, when the entire time I knew he was safer from being lynched than even I was. Basically, someone safe to pretend a rift with so as to create a trap for the Mafia.

I did the same thing with Darth, up until work distracted me for far too long and I realized what Elieson was signalling. Pretty much... To be blunt, I'm certain Darth is also safe. But once I realized what Elieson was signalling, I dropped that strategy immediately for the guaranteed Mafia kill rather than risk Darth getting lynched simply because I wasn't aware of what I was voting on.
