Greetings, and welcome to The Dubious Disc; Bulbagarden's newest Video Game section. After some discussion amongst the staff, it was decided that this topic may just warrant its own subforum. It comes up reasonably often in other areas, is a specialised subject within the games themselves, and it can be somewhat controversial.
As the basic description indicates, this a place where various "unofficial" methods and aspects of Pokémon gameplay can be discussed. That includes the obvious stuff like the Gameshark and Action Replay cheating devices, but also things like in-game exploitable glitches (e.g. Emerald's cloning glitch or RNG'ing). This section is also for discussion of programs like Pokesav, which are used to generate Action Replay codes that can be used to alter your save data in very specific ways.
If you haven't already read the Video Games Introduction & Rules thread, please do so before posting in this subforum. All the rules listed there also apply to this area. Specifically worth noting:

- Discussion of ROMs, ROM hacks or related subjects is not allowed. People discussing these things will be warned and infracted appropriately.
- Please make sure that any code you provide to another member has been personally verified. The penalty for providing an unverified, save-corrupting code will be the same as the "Trade Center Violation" infraction... which is 10 points, enough for an immediate 2-day ban.
