Plot twists that lost their meaning to you

Time is subjective. So is meaning. The value of a plot twist's meaning can be lost any time, whether it be before the twist, the moment it happens, or sometime afterward. I really don't think it matters here.

Zero dying in Mega Man X. The first game I thought "wow, so deep!" Then he comes back alive only for him to die again, comes back the next game, dies again, comes back the next game, dies again, comes back the next game... you'd think he'd be dead in MM Zero 4, and they make it seem like he's dead for good and you feel this overwhelming sadness just for once... only for him to come back again in ZX, but "in spirit" as a Biometal.

/facepalm
