Pocket Monsters (2019) Ending 1: "Pokémon Shiritori"

Oh? So what then was his role?
Masuda is only credited as the "producer", Pasocom Music Club (パソコン音楽クラブ) is credited for the lyrics, composition, and arrangement. The artist is credited as "Pokémon Music Club (Junichi Masuda/Pasocom Music Club/Pokémon Kids 2019)".

So his role was essentially just signing off that he was happy with this? Why does the man even get a credit?

I just realized Masuda got so prominently credited because half of the ending was indeed composed by him as the Red and Green OST

It is a nice ending theme. But it is a bit cheap and you should call it more a game than an actual ending theme. I get that showing all those pokemon as part of travelling the world is a smart move, but wouldnt some scenery from other regions been nice too?
