I haven't liked any of the opening themes since BW's first one tbh, so I probably shouldn't expect to like this one either unless it features Rica's vocals and god-tier animation.

To clarify, the song is being performed by After the Rain (their website); we don't know the title of the song yet. After the Rain is a duo consisting of soraru and mafumafu.

According to the official site, other singers/artists will be re-arranging the song as well, but the first performer will be the aforementioned duo After the Rain.

The title sounds kinda dramatic for a Pokémon opening...

Okay, so it seems that it will be sung by multiple artists representing the multiple regions.

The song will likely be good, but hopefully the animation contains spoilers and details about secondary characters. The SM openings were good but failed on both of those aspects.

Nothing new regarding the OP from today's episode, it just reiterated what we already knew:
It has been decided that the new series' opening theme will be fully produced by mafumafu! The new theme song is going to be sung by various artists one after another. The first artist will be After the Rain.

Friendly reminder that the ED for M21 was done by Porno Graffiti - so it's probably best not to take names at face value
Every time I see the name I giggle

I am expecting it to the change depending on the region for visuals. This would also confirm regions are being done in arcs and not 1 ep here 2 eps in another otherwise they wouldn't have different singers for different regions unless I am missing something

As revealed today, the opening theme will be titled "One, Two, Three". Rough translations of the comments from mafumafu and soraru:

mafumafu said:
There's no greater honor as part of the generation that watched the first episode of the anime in real-time as children.
Along with the title returning to "Pocket Monsters" and there being two main characters, I'm really looking forward to seeing the stage of all of the regions and the size of the scale.
Although we are inexperienced, we wanted to make a song that would garnish the anime with flowers.
Thank you for your continued support.

Having grown up with Pokémon since my childhood, I was very surprised because I never dreamed I could get involved with its music.
I was addicted to Pokémon Yellow Version when I played it for the first time, so I jumped in joy when I found out.
I tried recording the song while digging up memories from those days until now.
There are so many great songs from the Pokémon anime; I loved Meowth's Song and listened to it all the time. I'm very happy that this song will be lined up next to them.
I think it's a positive, bright, yet nostalgic song, so I hope you enjoy it.
