I'd prefer Ash to only get Mijumaru and get it to its final form. For goodness sake, his only evolved Water Pokémon is Kingler.

I'd prefer it if he just gets the one and leaves the other 3 members of his team up for speculation. It's better when they keep you guessing, throw a few curve balls and give a select few pokemon who may otherwise have been regulated to a few cameos a chance to get their faces seen.

I'd like it if Ash got them all, this is a new start with a new trio. Ash should start over and get all three starters like what happened in Kanto. I'm glad from the looks of things that Iris isn't getting one.

Well, the BW games are a reboot indeed... If they handle the starters well, I wouldn't mind Satoshi getting all of them. Though, I think Tsutarja might fit Dento if he's a sophisticated and a bit snobby character.

In my opinion, this would limit Ash to have other cooler pokemon, counting the flying-water-grass-fire pattern. I'd like he with mijumaru or pokabu (mainly the first), but tsutaja? Heck, it's a cool thingy, but Ash already have a good set of grass starters, we need some breath.

Tsutaja's grass mixer is totally a contest/musical move, pokabu have a too random "duh" face (a new turtwig, I'm feeling), last time I saw it in CoroCoro last scan, and mijumaru put a "CHOOSE ME" face, with sparky eyes.

Tsutaja for Dento? Why not?

Ash and Iris are the problem, because any of the two starters left are good looking for their teams. IF Iris don't want any, because of kibago, so yeah, I can see Ash with both pokabu and mijumaru. Who knows? If we have another three-episode-special, like DP's debut, we could see all of the three being choosed and in action.

Suppose Ash catch all the three starters, but have other cooler water/grass/fire Isshu pokemon to catch. I think only one starter is good enough. Since the flying-water-grass-fire will never change, I don't see why he needs to have all the starters.

Kanto and Johto? Pidgeotto, butterfree, heracross and noctowl got shafted by the "pikachu & starters squad" action. AG did a good job letting him get only treecko, and, in DP... well, we didn't have too many options of fire types, after all, despite chimchar's plot being awesome (and kicked turtwig's shell of the "main character's favorite starter" place) and all of Ash's pokemon have their moments.

it would suck if ash catch the fly-water-grass-fire pattern. yes so he has a pokemon to beat every other type of pokemon but the show needs changes so it could continue being interesting.

i think Gible is the first to show that Ash can raise different types of pokemon so he can capture a psychic or ghost type too.

Now i cant wait to see what kind of pokemon is Dento raising because of his gym position.

I hope Iris will caught munna and the electric horse.

Someone needs to have a Psychic type I would hope that Ash would catch one but I think the result is gonna be Ash's first Dark type in that crocodile Meguroko.

Ash will most likely stick to the usual capture string of Fire/Water/Grass/Pikachu/Flying/Wild Card. I'm hoping that Ash's catches a Ghost type just becuase I think it would be cool for him to have one.

I see Iris catching the flying squirrel more than the Zebra and I also have a feeling that either her or Dento will get the fawn

Holy... "Best Wishes"? Really?? What happened to the cool names like "Master Quest" and "Advanced Challenge". I mean, that makes some sense for the dubbed version (which was somewhat good until DP when it became somewhat meh), but the Japanese version? After the second to last season of AG, the anime just went downhill, and I hope BW will bring it back to it's former glory...

Also, I don't really care which pokemon Ash gets, as long as they look at least a bit awesome. Hopefully Ash also won't randomly forget everything he's learned in his last 13 years of being a pokemon trainer again. And hopefully Pikachu doesn't get reset to level 5 again. I laughed so hard when a pikachu which had traveled through 3 regions and competed in 3 pokemon leagues couldn't beat a cranidos.

Well Best Wishes starts with the same letters that Black and White, plus, 'Wishes' in kana is written the same as Isshu, so more than a pun, it's actually a double pun, making the name very clever and thus, truly awesome and creative. You know, not everything has to be called "extreme", "master" "champion" or "ultrapowerful" to sound cool. That's the gloey of Best Wishes, no former glory is needed.

The show doesn't need to be like Kanto or DP or anything for that matter.

The further BW takes us away from DP and the older seasons, the better.

Starters aside, of the Pokemon revealed so far, the likeliest candidate I see for Ash is Wargle, and I say this hoping they'll choose it instead of the completely predictable Mamepato (or "Midgeon", as I like to call it.) The only others I could maybe see are Hihidaruma (though yet another ape, and a fire ape at that), Moguryuu and Meguroku (though both Ground types, which Ash had 3 of in DP counting Torterra; plus, the iffy Dark type of the croc).

Probably because when professors give out starters they're giving the trainer their first pokemon and since Iris already has Kibago I think it's gonna work as her "starter", otherwise she could have just captured Kibago later on. I seriously think that Ash might get all three starters this time and fully evolve all three of them.
And again, who says she'd have to either get the starter-type from the prof. or not at all when Ash has never had to?

I highly doubt that any of the main characters are going to receive one of the starters from the professor because Dento is the gym leader and Iris has a dragon that hides in her hair, plus Ash has Pikachu. With all of that in mind what role do you think the professor will have in the opening episodes?

Maybe she'll be the one to rescue Pikachu from Team Rocket/other threat.

She might give Ash one of the starters upon hearing about him? She could send a message to Oak requesting his pressence and use for her research. :ksmile:
Whatever she does, I hope she makes it cooler than Rowan. He was just boring.

Wow absolutely, at least she's younger which makes her more likely that she could be more active and have a decent personality. Rowan was stale. I hope she can be somewhat clumsy and maybe go out into the field alot like Professor Birch did in AG.

So Meganon (who has posted some reliable info before), said this:

Best Wishes will start on 23th September with an one hour special.
There will be also a special program on 16th September, but I don't know what it's exactly.

Hmm...does the special program relate to Pokemon? Or would it be that Naruto thing I've heard people talk about.

It's not surprising news in terms of the date we're seeing this but an hour special sounds awesome!
