If anyone said that, it was probably a minority. Given that they gave him this gen’s most popular starter, the second that the Galar starters were given a G-Max form, it was obvious he’d show off Cinderace especially especially after SM gave even the non battlers of the cast Z-Rings. Won’t be anywhere near as eventful as Ash being allowed to given that he’s the battler but it was inevitable.

I know not everyone loves the plot for SwSh, and I am still a little concerned about this arc only being 4 episodes, but the trailer was EPIC. There's so much I'm looking forward to!

G-Max Meowth...loool. I'm so excited Team Rocket's Meowth is getting to do it! I loved that they had a Z-Ring in SM, so I think it's cool that they get to participate in this series' gimmick as well. As for Goh, I'm not really surprised he got a Dynamax Band. I know he's said he's not big on battling, but I think he'll become a Max Raid Battle specialist because it'll enable him to catch more Pokemon. I might not love watching them, but that would definitely spice up Goh's usual captures, so I'm here for it if that's what they're aiming for.

Some Raihan/Sonia interaction is nice to see! I'm definitely hoping to see Leon and Sonia interact during this arc as well.

I'm really hoping that's THE Mewtwo. I'm not hedging bets on it, but that'd be really cool.

Also, just need to say that Ash looks like an absolute BADASS in this trailer! I'm so excited they've got my boy looking so ready for action! Heck, even Goh looks straight up cool! This series has been pretty lighthearted so far, so I'm definitely ready for a more serious, action heavy period of episodes.

I honestly don't remember people saying that. If they did, it probably wasn't for too long. Given how fast Scorbunny evolved into Raboot and they showed the Gigantamax forms of the starters back in January, it was pretty likely that Goh was going to get Gigantamax Cinderace at some point. I think that there are other better ways for Goh to battle more often than jumping into the World Championship.

Goh is most likely gonna capture that Yamask, since both are in the same location. Some people though the flying thing next to big Pangoro was Zapdos, but its Ash and Dragonite.

Well, the SwSh anime technically consists of only JN042 - JN045, the rest of the current series mostly has NOT been SwSh at all

Really? For 5 ep? With a medicore story from the games being but into the anime?

I think I'm personally am bound to enjoy it anyway, I enjoyed basically every arc in the anime (unless if some episodes of said arc was uneventful) regardless of how they were written. Now how I remember them and their legacy as a whole is a different thing. It is sad that this will be rushed as hell and it basically seems to a duplicate copy of the games' story (sadly). The Preview was well done and hyped me enough though tbh.

Looking back, I really think they want to play it safe this time around because of the complaints they got for changing the Aether Arc Story and Lusamine's Character.

I wonder if this means Lucario will get a Gigantamax form too, since practically every teaser has showcased Ash's Lucario and Cinderace fighting side by side against Eternatus.
