James and Ty nodded their understanding of the rules. "Oh... about Sophie. Well Ty and her resolved their differences. For the most part." James said to Alexa, intentionally leaving out the details. James and Ty then went up and picked their numbers. "Alright, 5 for me." James said to Ty.
"25 for me. I'm you times you... which makes me better." Ty joked.
"Really Ty? Math jokes?" James asked him with a sly grin on his face.
Alexa walked to the machine as she spinned the wheel. "7" she said as she walked back and showed Ellery her number.
Ellery walked to the machine as he got his number. "Stupid thing work." he kicked the machine since it was stuck as his number came out. "10, I'm in the west field I guess."
Kira walked up to his. "28" he said as he walked back followed by Joseph.
"All right, I got it." he frowned when he saw his number. "Anyone wanna trade?"
"Because that's yours, I don't think I'll want to fight against you, Elliot told me a lot of things about." Joseph said, Jake smiled when he saw his number. 23
"Well, we'll see just how much potential you have, hatchling." Travis, Sr. said, a look on his face that define smugness. Not an arrogant smug, but a confident smug.
OOC: No wait I got the number wrong James has 5 right if he passes he'll be the one to fight Alexa
"Now that all 32 trainers have their numbers it's time to go." four doors opened on the main stadium each one taking to the next one.
"Good luck to you three." Ellery waved as he started walking, he frowned when he noticed he was the only one in the West Stadium, meaning he didn't have his friends to back him up. "Well, guess I'm alone on this one"
Joseph made his way to the East Stadium with the other participants, along with Alexa and James and Travis Sr. Once they reached the stadium and went in two proctors stood in front of the stadium, "Would you too please come." he pointed at Travis Sr. and Joseph and started walking into the stadium, Joseph shrugged and followed the proctor.
"True, but I'm one of the first matches." He said, following Joe. He took out a weathered Pokeball. "Mental note - get new balls for Pokemon." He said, looking at the ball.
Joseph looked at Travis and nodded as he took out a pokeball after getting to his side of the field. "You will each use three Pokemon, the battle will be over when all three of your Pokemon are defeated...begin!"
"All right then, I choose you Blastoise!" Joseph yelled as he sent his Blastoise out into the field.
James was standing against the wall flipping one of his Poke balls up and down in his right hand in an absentminded manner. It was clear that he was rather bored with waiting to battle.
Meanwhile, Ty was first up in the North Stadium, so he was walking confidently out onto the battle field.
Ellery was first in the West Stadium, he walked out into the field, feeling a bit nervous but confident of his skill. His opponent was a Glaceon White, but he barely looked looked like a teenager, he was a giant, he had big biceps that almost ripped his shirt and basically the rest of his body, he had black spiky hair and a smirk on his face. "You're my opponent, you're just a shrimp, what are you fourteen." he started laughing.
"Hey shut up, I was fourteen years ago so shut it steroid breath." Ellery glared at him.
"Big words for a little kid." the Glaceon White chuckled.
"A Blastoise, huh? Summoning: Suiton!" Travis yelled, throwing the Pokeball in hand, throwing out a Vaporeon. She had a regal appearance to her. "At your move." Travis said, bowing slightly.
"All right then, Blastoise, return." Joseph returned Blastoise immediately. "All right, go Magnetric use Thunderbolt!" he threw his Magnetric out and it fired a jolt of thunder straight at Suiton.
Ty looked over his opponent, a tall thin girl from Blaziken Red. She was wearing a red and white battle outfit and had long flowing brown hair.
"Good luck." Ty said to the girl across from him.
"Thanks." She smiled at him. "You too."
Ty was debating which one of his Pokemon to use first. He couldn't decide because he was a bit nervous about the upcoming battle. It took him a few more moments. "Alright Blaziken, get out there." Ty finally made his decision, going with his best battler.
"I choose Gardevoir." The girl called out, and Ty made a switch right away. He took Blaziken out and put in Heracross.
"Heracross, start this off with a Megahorn!" Ty shouted.
"Gardevoir, use Psychic!" The girl ordered a quick counter attack.
