As Kyle danced with Syou, echoes of what her friend had said and what his cousin had told him were running through his head. He wasn't sure whether he should tell the girl that he hadn't fallen for her ruse or not. He was also trying to figure out a way to let her down easy, but a solution wasn't coming to him.
Nuata shut it off after it started to get a little too hot. "Since when we turned our check-up system turn into a form of enterainment?" Nuata asked James.
"When we succumbed to pressure." James answered her question. "Now why don't you come home. Since the kids are with my sister..." James left the rest of the sentence unsaid.
"Works every time." James smiled brightly as he said this to himself. After all, he was only 24 years old and he was as close to the top of the world as it was possible for one man to be. So life was good.
Kyle caught the eyes of Marianna and Tasha and gave them a look that said, *I'm lost here...*
"Wow, that was...wow." Carey said with a surprised smile after she and Alex stopped the kiss.
"I know." Alex said, a slow dance started playing and it could be heard from outside, Carey put her head on Alex's chest as the two danced to the music.
"Hey dude, look." Drake tapped on Kyle's shoulder as he motioned him to look outside.
Kyle looked outside and smiled. "It was only a matter of time." He said softly. "I'm glad that both of them finally gave in and told the other how they felt." He mused.
Somewhere over the rainbow
Way up high
And the dreams that you dreamed of
Once in a lullaby-ii-ii-iii
Somewhere over the rainbow
Blue birds fly
And the dreams that you dreamed of
Dreams really do come true, ooh ooooh
Someday I'll wish upon a star
Wake up where the clouds are far behind me-ee-ee-eeh
Where trouble melts like lemon drops
High above the chimeney tops, thats where you'll find me oh
Somewhere over the rainbow, bluebirds fly
And the dream that you dare to, oh why, oh why can't I? i iiii
Well I see trees of green and
Red roses too,
I'll watch them bloom for me and you
And I think to myself
What a wonderful world
Well I see skies of blue and I see clouds of white
And the brightness of day
I like the dark and I think to myself
What a wonderful world
The colors of the rainbow so pretty in the sky
Are also on the faces of people passing by
I see friends shaking hands
Saying, "How do you do?"
They're really saying, I...I love you
I hear babies cry and I watch them grow,
They'll learn much more
Than we'll know
And I think to myself
What a wonderful world (w)oohoorld
Someday I'll wish upon a star,
Wake up where the clouds are far behind me-ee-ee-eeh
Where trouble melts like lemon drops
High above the chimeney top that's where you'll find me-ee-ee-eeh
Oh, Somewhere over the rainbow way up high
And the dream that you dare to, why, oh why can't I? I hiii ?
Jessica put her arms over Alex and Carey's shoulders then said "It took so long but, at least it finally happened. And now that we've finally got these two together how about we get to some more dancing?"
*Wow. That's bold.* Kyle thought to himself with a hint of an amused grin on his face. "Yes I have actually." Kyle told Syou. He paused for a moment because he knew that he needed to proceed carefully. "I don't know if we make a good match... but my perception of you has changed tonight." He intentionally made it clear that he hadn't fallen for her trick.
