Kyle smiled at the scene before looking at Drake. "Not you too... I'm going to say the same thing to you I just said to Andrew." Kyle told Drake in a somewhat icy tone. "You're a good guy. And you wouldn't get in the way of another guy's happiness. That's just poor form." Kyle remarked.
"There's no chance of that Andrew. I don't lose. Ever." Kyle told him and Drake. "Because I have money, power and fame on my side. That and the knowledge of how to play every possible situation." Kyle was referring to the fact that he was sure that James would side with him.
"You wouldn't have any of that if James didn't take you in. But, I bet your ego would still be huge," Andrew said. "Oh, and yes, I'll make sure of it myself. This will be the first game you've lost. Ever."
Tasha hold out her hands and very long claws came out. "I think I found a new scratching post..." She purred maliciously, tail still and in a position to pounce.
The comment about James stung Kyle a bit because he knew that Andrew was right. If he wasn't James' kid cousin, he wouldn't have any of what made him so sure of his place in the world. "Then I have nothing more to say to you then." Kyle started to walk out of the room. "It's a shame that you two are choosing to do this." He said to Andrew and Drake over his shoulder. "You were two good friends."
"Its for the best, right?" Andrew asked Drake. Then, he thought about it for a moment. "Ya, it is. He's gotten too cocky, and his ego is too big for the school. Woah, down girl," he said to Tasha. "I don't want to play, or fight." He heard Kyle's comment about 'were'. "It seems Kyle will lose all of his friends, if carey and Alex side with us. Kyle Drake will fall."
"Carey won't side with you, and thus Alex won't either." Kyle said over his shoulder. "You're forgetting that they're family to me." He mentioned. "Plus, Carey adores James as a big brother, she'll go whichever way he does. And also, don't forget you need me more than I need you. After all, I've got this." Kyle reached into his shirt and pulled out the golden chain necklace that his Key of Power was hanging on. "So I think that's pretty close to a first move checkmate." Kyle grinned at Andrew.
"Can I make him flee?" Tasha asked, her claws still out, while Marianna had a crocodile-like smile, showing her sharp teeth. Donny tried to be creepy, but failed miserably.
"You do know I live here, right?" he asked the girls, and Kyle. "Awww, its a cute little Dratini. Must have been Kyle's breeding project. I feel sorry, since he has you for a father."
"Don't." Kyle told the girls. "There's no need. After all, he's my roommate so he has the right to be here." He pointed out. "Plus, there's no need for a lack of civility because unlike those two..." He nodded at Andrew and Drake. "I still have a touch of class left." He glared at Andrew after hearing his comment to Donny. "See what I mean? No civility, no class. It's clear you weren't taught all that well by your father."
"You shouldn't have gone there Kyle," Andrew threatened. "Also, what do you think I'm doing? I, and Drake, are saving civility, so, you can either have one girl, or no girls. instead of six."
"Daemonmancers can have multiple wives by demon law, but all of them have used daemons as simple tools of war. That's why I love him: Because he is loyal and not cowardly. However, the wives has to be demonic in origin." Marianna said, clutching Kyle.
"Exactly, by demon law. Human girls don't like it too much when their husband has six wives. And, I'm not sure, but, Kyle may choose one of you, but, he could choose a human girl," Andrew explained.
"You're digging yourself into a hole Andrew." Kyle told Andrew. "And this isn't a hole you know anything about... you're going to get yourself hurt... and not by me."
Held in Maria's tail was a phone connected to Nuata's number, and she picked up. "You two are so lucky I'm strapped to a bed. Do you realized the last time someone threaten my children?" She said, and she referenced the time when someone tried to hold Sophie hostage. There wasn't enough left to be put in a shoebox.
