"I don't know what to do here." Kyle said after a moment. "If it was anyone else I would have already blown a hole in his head." He remarked.
Vince looked shocked.
"I'm not going to do that." Kyle said quickly. "You're my best friend and I would never do that."
Vince smiled. "I'm sorry Kyle... I didn't know what I got myself into." He said softly.
"I know you didn't." Kyle said reassuringly. "So here's what we're going to do... you're going to be my eyes and ears inside this operation. Find out who's doing this. Find out what they're planning." Kyle told Vince, who nodded.
"Got it." Vince said in a tone that made it clear he was ready for this responsibility.
"And don't worry about being discovered. Just leave enough behind where we can salvage enough of your body so we can obtain the memories." Lexie said, smiling a sickly sweet smile.
"Sure, why not." Zeke said, giving Zephyr to Gloria.
Ellery teleported in a blast of wind before appearing in the middle of the forest. "So, now what?" Carey asked. "I don't see no base,"
"Really," Ellery nodded his head. "Look at that tree," he pointed a tree nearby that had a Wurmple sleeping from the branch. "And that one over there," He pointed at a tree about half a mile away which also had a Wurmple hanging from the branch in the same position. "See anything strange?"
"Okay that was kind of funny but let's be serious here," Ellery put his hands in his pockets before sending a beam of light towards the farther tree, the being seemed to crash with something but what it was was unable to be seen.
"Mirroring effect. Nice touch." Zeke said, then made a port come out of his hand that fired a small blob of gray clay with wires attached to it at where Ellery fired. "C4." Zeke explained, as he pulled his wife and brother-in-law away.
It exploded on the wall as something started appearing before them. It looked like a castle though it seemed to be made out of crystal and it was glowing in all kinds of different colors, it had three towers on the top and a large entrance which was right in front of the three. The door seemed to be closed door.
"It's just appearance it ain't actually made out of crystal...at least I think so," Ellery said before taking a step forward and disappearing.
"What just happened?" Carey asked before she disappeared along with Zeke. Carey fell hard on the floor before seeing she was in a large room which again seemed to be made out of crystal though there were tables and bookshelves. Carey looked behind her to see Zeke on the floor.
In a rather painful-looking position, he on his shoulders and neck in a landed position, his feet touching his elbows. And it looked like he cracked the ground.
Vince and Kyle both glared at Lexie. "He's not going to die." Kyle said bluntly as Ashley appeared in the room. "And, what did you find out?" Kyle asked Ashley in an annoyed tone.
"Trouble in paradise?" Vince asked.
"Now's not the time." Kyle answered in a tone that made it clear that Vince was right.
"Not really..." Zeke said, his legs plopping on the ground. Though this made his neck stick up. "Oh, boy." He stood up and noticed his neck was crooked. "Not good." He said, then grabbed his head and pulled back.
The Academy was jostled awake from Zeke's yell of pain.
"Aie....." Zeke muttered as he laid down to get readjusted.
