"No probs." JT said with a smile as he gathered up all of his Pokemon into their balls. "I gotta run. My battle is starting soon." And without another word, JT bolted back into the stadium.
"The next battle is between JT Dalton and Mike Cunningham!" The announcer proclaimed and JT walked onto the battle field to face his opponent, a Gyarados Blue who had long brown hair and was wearing a blue track jacket.
"What's with the crutches?" Mike taunted JT, who still was having issues with balance.
"Tore apart my ankle." JT answered. "Not a big deal really." JT was trying to intimidate his opponent by understating his injury. "Alright, Sammy get out there." JT flipped a red and white sphere out onto the field, which revealed his Staraptor.
"Okay, I'll use my Rapidash!" Mike released his fiery horse, and the battle was set to begin.
"Staraptor, Brave Bird!" JT shouted, wasting no time before going on the attack.
"Rapidash, Bounce!" Mike countered, and JT frowned as he saw Staraptor, who was flying towards Rapidash at supersonic speed while emitting a bluish glow, shoot directly under his target.
"Rapidash, Fire Blast!" Mike was on the offensive.
"Staraptor, Close Combat!" JT shouted, although it was not the best possible strategy. Because Staraptor had to fly directly towards Rapidash to use this attack, Rapidash's Fire Blast was a direct hit, and Staraptor was clearly damaged by the flames.
With a loud cry, Sammy flew through the flames and began attacking Rapidash mercilessly with his powerful talons, rendering the other Pokemon nearly helpless.
"Keep it up, Sammy!" JT encouraged his avian attacker because he knew that he was doing serious damage to his opponent.
"Rapidash, use Solarbeam!" Mike urged as Sammy's attacks started to slow down due to fatigue.
"Sammy, Brave Bird one more time!" JT ordered and Staraptor shot down from the sky as Rapidash launched the powerful energy beam. "Through the beam!" JT shouted, and Sammy obeyed. With a loud crash, Sammy slammed into Rapidash, which resulted in a massive cloud of dust to be thrown into the air. When the dust settled, it was clear that both Rapidash and Sammy were knocked out.
"Both fighters are unable to continue." The announcer shouted. "Both trainers have one Pokemon remaining."
In Stadium number 2, a mysterious Umbreon Black was batlling a Charizard red. The Umbreon Black's face was hidden by the hood he wore. The Charizard Red sent out Glaceon and the Umbreon Black sent out Shedinja.
The Charizard Red was the first to order his Pokemon to move. "Glaceon, use Ice Beam." The beam shot toward Shedinja, but was blocked by the Shedinja's Wonder Guard.
The Umbreon Black chuckled. "Use Double Team." The Shedinja created illusions of itself, which surrounded the Glaceon.
The Charizard Red growled in frustration. "Use Blizzard!" A Blizzard swept through the Stadium, destroying the illusions. But the real Shedinja was nowhere to be seen.
The Umbreon Black made a waving gesture. "Time to finish this. Shedinja, Dig." The Shedinja exploded out of the ground, sending the Glaceon flying. The Glaceon slammed into a wall and slumped to the ground.
"Glaceon is unable to battle," The announcer said. "Shedinja is the winner. Time for the next round."
The Charizard Red returned his Glaceon and sent out Typhlosion.
The Umbreon Black returned his Shedinja and sent out Dusknoir.
