((Bloody hell. Is this RP ever active when I'm online?))
Chloe looked at the obstacle and laughed.
"This is going to be easy. I get into enough trapdoors and balls" she said to herself looking at her figure in the uniform.
"I'm going to pretend that I didn't hear that." Aria said, getting a mental picture that Chloe was nowhere close to saying.
The first team up was the Assassins. They rushed in one by one until all of their numbers hit the drink. The results:
Federico, a vampire: Smack to the face from the left side by a padded polearm at 19.36 ft.
Serenity, a elf: Trapdoor to the shins, making her fall head first at 12.67 ft.
Bruticus, a harpyman: Slid off of the platform after landing a jump at 24.37 ft.
Gerald, a devil: Deflected off the platform after a misjudged jump at 24.25 ft.
Mei, a jirogumo: Trapdoored at 15.67 ft.
Rask Tay, a half-dragon: Took a stone fist to the left hip at 31.91 ft.
Momo, a nymph: Took a stone fist to the left leg at 41.79 ft.
"I suppose you can do better?" John asked, appearing behind her. The Assassin flag was swapped with the Devil Hunter flag. "The Devil Hunters have elected themselves to be second up!" John yelled. Aria punched Chloe in the arm.
"Well obviously. Have you seen me? I get all over them balls" she winked and laughed, turning to face him after feeling a little shocked as he appeared behind her from what seemed like nowhere.
Kyle laughed at John acting just like the John he knew so well. "Yeah, Chloe... this is a team effort." He muttered. "Just don't get knocked out in the first ten feet and we'll be okay." Kyle had done the math in his head, and assuming that he and Carey both made it 40 feet out of the fifty, they would be able to move on as long as everyone else made it fifteen feet or more. Kyle looked at the fire balls. "Oh real smooth Chloe... real, real smooth."
"I bet doing them balls are easier then trying to get to yours" she scoffed walking away from him and to Kylr.
"Yeah got it. I was aiming to get more then 25" she laughed looking at the fire balls.
"Chloe, just shut up." Kyle was exasperated. "John is an old family friend, so I know he's not going to put up with you pulling shit like that." He was clearly annoyed. "He's just going to make this course harder and harder until we get to a point where there's no chance in hell of us advancing."
At this point, Kyle knew that he had the argument won. "By the look on your face, I can tell that you're lying to me about that." Kyle shook his head. "Let me guess... you had to beg to get back in... and I thought you didn't want to be here in the first place." He chuckled. "I don't understand you at all sometimes."
Chloe bit her lip and shook her head.
"Fine! You know what things happen ok? You really want to know I got disowned, no money, home or clothes so I had no choice to come back. But fucks sake all I get is the same shit that I fucking had before." she said looking at him straight in the eye.
"You know what you got it fucking easy. People like me have no clue what to do or where we'll end up the next day even. Why else do you think I make everyday as good as I want it. 'Cos I know one day I'll be like one of them chavs on the street smoking Bud. Not like I'm useful for anything" she frowned knowing nobody would get what she meant.
John shook his head slightly as he walked over to the stand as Aria was the first of the Hunters to run. Obviously, Chloe didn't know true suffering yet. Right now, she's a whining materialist.
Kyle took one look at Chloe and just laughed. "Until you're bleeding out on the ground with a knife through your chest and bullet holes littering your body... you've had it far easier than me." He said coldly. "I've been fighting for my life since I was sixteen... I've gotten shot, stabbed, lit on fire, shocked to within an inch of my life. You think I have it easy?" Kyle shook his head. "Baby, you don't know a damn thing." He said bluntly before standing next to Aria on the starting line. "Alright Aria, you've got this. Show them what you've got."
"Says the rich cunt who's got every person to support him" she grumbled storming out.
"Fuck them all, you know what I'm giving up this competition. Not like they need me anyway" she said turning into her water form and swimming in the water.
"'ey! Out of the water!" A water nymph in the Spy Network division, having a gray color, yelled, and stomped her foot into the water, ejecting Chloe out. "No swimming in the water for safety measures!" She yelled.
Once Chloe was out, Aria took off. Avoiding the first hazards (paint cans), she weaved around the trapdoors, but she stepped on one and her forehead hit the edge, and hit the water. Lifeguards dove in and fished Aria out, she having a cut mud-caked forehead, the dirty water making her hiss from the pain.
