What was the unique thing that happened, but were the two other gyms and what other similarities did those two have.

Hint: One of those two previous gyms was one of the first few gyms in Hoenn.

Sewaddle evolving is right. Abra's evolving counts as well, but I was thinking of a different similarity.

Edit: Also, think of Ash's first battle as an official one, the one where Abra evolves. That could help the question.

@Playerking Flannery's Macargo didn't evolve in the Gym battle but Brawly's Makuhita did. So it would be the second one.Similarities... both Abra and Makuhita evolved in their trainer's first match against Ash, match won by the Gym Leaders, forcing Ash to challenge them again?
