Qualifiers will be held on August 28 and 29, and September 4 and 5 in each respective countries. The Grand Finale will be taking place on September 11, 2021, where the winners from each country will compete to determine the Champion.
All 8 players competing in the Grand Finale will be awarded with the invitation to Day 1 of the 2022 Pokémon World Championships that will be held in London in August 2022, a physical copy of Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Pokémon Shining Pearl Double Pack and a physical copy of Pokémon Legends: Arceus. The champion of the Grand Finale will receive an invitation to the Pokémon Global Exhibition held online in October, and invitation to Day 2 of the 2022 Pokémon World Championships with flights and accommodation fee.
The game rules for the tournament are as follows:
- The game format will be a Double Battle format.
- Players must have between four and six Pokémon.
- Pokémon above and below Lv. 50 are permitted but will be auto-leveled to Lv. 50 during battle.
- Players are not allowed to use duplicate Pokémon.
- Players are not allowed to have duplicate held items.
- The game time limit: 20 minutes
- Team Preview: 90 seconds
- Move time limit: 45 seconds
- Player time (Your Time) limit: 7 minutes
- Players may use Pokémon with the following Pokédex number, provided that the Pokémon have the Galar symbol or battle-ready symbol
