The premise of this Roleplay is simple. To be exact, it is some sort of ASB (anime-style battling). So, you create your character, give him/her a team of six, and then you are entered into the Poké-Tournament! No generation 8 Pokemon, please. Also, you are free to perform Z-Moves and Megas!
It is a tournament of 8 (or 16, depending on the amount of sign-ups) in which trainers battle each other for glory! Winner takes all! Here's the signup sheet:

Forgot the rules!
  • Follow regular Bulbagarden rules, please!
  • Don't godmod. Godmodding is when someone’s character is invincible or can do anything without limits.
  • Try to limit excessive dialogue while outside of a battle. A little character development is fine, but be moderate.
  • Be reasonable while your character is in a battle. It’s no fun if your character’s Pokémon somehow manage to miraculously dodge all attacks.
  • Give your opponent a chance to react to your attacks when battling, like dodge or counterattack. Try not to declare automatic hits on your attacks, unless you have a good reason to do so.
  • You are only allowed one Mega Evolution, and only one Z-crystal.
  • No held items other than the aforementioned crystals and visual items that would not have their ingame effect (such as Black Glasses, Choice Scarf, etc.)
See you all in the tournament!

Name: Jake
Age: 12
Gender: Male
Appearance: (Photo not available) Jake is a guy with average height for someone his age--not too tall, not too short. He has light brown hair, hazel eyes, and slightly tanned skin. He wears a plain green shirt most of the time, and he also wears black gloves with blue stripes on the fingers. Jake normally wears cargo shorts the color of a pizza crust, and casual black and blue sneakers. He wears a black and green baseball cap (similar pattern to Ash’s hat from the Advanced Generation series in the Pokemon anime).
Personality: Jake has a collection of Z-Crystals, and you never know when he will bring a Steelium Z to the battle, or a Darkinium Z, or a Poisonium Z, or many others. He even owns a few Pokémon-exclusive Z-Crystals. Like his brother Kane, Jake is adventurous, athletic, and passionate for helping Pokemon. He often analyzes his opponent’s strategy in battle to find their weaknesses. A Pokémon prodigy thanks to his father, a former scientist of Silph Co., he is not to be underestimated.

Also, maybe specify some rules, such as these:
  • Follow regular Bulbagarden rules, please!
  • Don't godmod. Godmodding is when someone’s character is invincible or can do anything without limits.

An example of good roleplaying can be found on a website called Pokécharms. Maybe you can learn from these guys!

Pokemon 6: Rotom
Nickname: Alter Ego
Ability: Levitate
Held Item: Air Balloon...
Moves (5 or less): Discharge, Leaf Storm, Air Slash, Hydro Pump, Shadow Ball
I gotta say, the moveset of your Rotom, Alter Ego, is illegal. According to Bulbapedia:
“If Rotom would change from one appliance form to another and still knows the special move of its current form, the old special move is automatically forgotten and Rotom learns the new one. If Rotom changes to its normal form, it forgets the special move of the form it was in (if it still knows it).” So, Rotom can’t have Leaf Storm (Mow Rotom), Air Slash (Fan Rotom) and Hydro Pump (Wash Rotom) at the same time, since they’re the special moves of Rotom’s other forms.

Name: Lena Thornton
Age: 13
Gender: Female
Appearance: Lena has straight, shoulder length dark brown hair and blue eyes. She has fair skin. She is slightly small for her age. Lena usually wears a red jacket and skirt, black leggings, and brown boots. She wears a red and black boater hat. She wears a bronze locket which holds a key stone.
Personality: Lena is very talkative, lively and confident, enjoying whatever chance she gets to meet new people. She goes out of her way to make sure that other people do not feel left out during a conversation. Though she is usually rather laid back, she tends to get very competitive when in battle.

Hey @DannyDrawsaLot, can I add held items to my Pokemon? I didn't initially because people in the Pokemon anime never used held items on their Pokemon except for Mega Stones. For a truly anime-like experience, remove the held items, everyone. (Besides, people in the anime carried ONE Z-Crystal at a time--on their Z-Rings.)

Yeah. I'll add it to the rules. No held items other than mega stones, and only one Z-crystal.

Name: Arrow
Age: 13
Gender: Male
Appearance: Brown, short and layered hair, brown eyes, fair skin tone. Usually seen sporting long, black pants with blue stripes around the knee area, white sneakers, as well as a shamrock green hoodie that looks similar to ash's advanced generation hoodie, but with long sleeves.
Personality:
Arrow is usually calm and collected, but he is easily startled. He doesn't talk much, but when he does talk, he usually has something important to say. Arrow knows a lot about Pokemon battle strategies and has a special tablet that he attaches to a strap on his left arm, which he uses to record information. Some would say he is weird and mysterious, but get to know him better and you will see that he cares deeply for his Pokemon and won't hesitate to help others. Overall, Arrow is somewhat kind-hearted but prefers not to show it.

Is it okay if you don't put Z-Crystals on your Pokemon in the sign-up sheet because you wanted to keep it a secret which Pokemon you're going to put one on? And is it okay if the Trainer carries the Z-Crystal on their Z-(Power)Ring instead of the Pokemon and changes the Z-Crystal between battles?

After all, Ash used an Electrium Z in his League battle against Guzma and a Normalium Z in his battle against Gladion.
