Re: Pokémon Black and White 2 coming to North America and Europe this autumn: Nintend

Now, would early-mid November be considered "Holiday" or "Autumn"? I know the holiday season creep gets earlier and earlier every year. Christmas things start appearing in stores as early as October and the festive music starts playing on radio stations in mid-November.

Well, from my experience with release dates and such, early November can usually count as either. Mid November is more often Holiday. But as far as BW2 goes with its "Autumn" release, I'd say no later than say, November 4th maybe. I'd guess Sept./Oct. though.

At E3 2010, PokePark Wii: Pikachu's Adventure had a release period of Holiday 2010. And that was released on November 2nd, 2010.
So early November is classified as Holiday as well.

Re: Pokémon Black and White 2 coming to Europe "this autumn": Nintendo of Europe ...

Oh my god, more combo breakers!

So, since the first two were centered around an opposites motif, tradition and advancement, these two might be about unity; accepting each others' differences. Sound cheesy enough to be a Pokémon plot and the Kyurem art speaks for itself. I'm excited you guys, I'm gonna Nuzlocke the shit out of it when it's released!

It's highly unlikely they've actually fully localised the game yet, since it's not even out in Japan, so they're not giving an exact date because they don't know how long it will take. "Autumn" would probably just be their approximation of when they will finish. The reason for not saying "Holiday" is 1) it gives the illusion of it coming out earlier and 2) they may be able to release it before what is considered "Holiday".

I'm just surprised there haven't been any early CoroCoro leaks yet. If somebody had managed to take a picture of the magazine cover, you would think there would be more info to follow shortly afterward.

The same happened last month; someone leaked the Keldeo silhouette cover and two days later the rest showed up.

That's sooner than expected. Well, they had the story made already; only needed to split it up in two cartridges, one for each storyline which was already split in two to fit the small differences between both versions (and the damned forest/city nobody uses), and that's it. And they said somewhere that it comes earlier in the US because they are translating directly from the JP version and not from the EU one (which makes little sense since we have English in the EU already, why they don't go copy/paste from the UK version and wait lazily for the British to finish it?).

Anyway, I'm excited. Can't wait to explore the "Ice Age" Unova and explore that mysterious new "island" where N flew off (probably a pokémon version of Hawaii or Eastern Island, something with volcanoes and ugly blank-stare statues, my guess). And to make use of the stones Ghetsis gave to his harem to give to you. Oh and yes, and to see that Kyurem rampaging with its new flamboyant formes, and again breaking the paradox that someone already caught that pokémon:

PS: Why every time I see Keldeo I instantly recall Rahu from the Shin Megami Tensei franchise, UGH *face desk*

If I recall, autumn falls within the 3rd quarter.

And now I'm excited. September is the perfect release, even in Labor Day, although a Christmas release will raise sales.

Still excited, but with the loss of what's really the UK's only games retailers, GAME and Gamestation, I wonder how one could buy them without resorting to the riskier method of using the internet.

I read that Australia is getting them before everybody, including Japan. Umm WTF? There's no language barrier at all for Australian games, all I need to do is get outlet and DS compatibility (if power outlets are any different there), and freaking import it - no screwing with Japanese text. Nintendo is really making some decisions that aren't too well thought out :/.

Since Australia is in the southern hemisphere the seasons there are opposite to the northern hemisphere. So when it's Spring 2012 in the southern hemisphere, it will be Autumn/Fall 2012 in the northern hemisphere. They're getting it at the same time everywhere (bar Japan) is getting it.

For those who live in the northern hemisphere, it is best to remember that the Australian seasons are the opposite of those in the north; so in the northern winter, pack summer clothes for a visit to Sydney.

In a simplified, easy-to-remember seasons calendar each season begins on the first day of the season's starting month, so summer is from December 1 to the end of February, autumn from March to May, winter from June to August, and spring from September to November.

Edit: There's already a story on Bulbanews where this was discussed anyway.
