Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Pokémon Shining Pearl Ver. 1.1.3 available for download

Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Pokémon Shining Pearl have received an update to software Ver. 1.1.3. This update adds some quality of life changes. Players are advised to download the update before continuing playing.

Complete these steps to download the update:

• Connect the Nintendo Switch console to the internet.
• Return to the HOME Menu and launch the game.
• The update will be downloaded and installed automatically.
• Once the update is installed, the newest version number will be displayed on the title screen.

Ver. 1.1.3

• Fixed some issues for more pleasant gameplay.

While the official changelog is rather thin in details, players and dataminers have identified several specific changes made in this new version:

• When a Repel runs out, the name of the specific Repel variant used will now be stated in the message asking if the player would like to use another one.
• A method to trigger Menu Storage by using Fly from the Pokétch in the overworld has been removed.
• The Generation IV sprite of Registeel in the game data has been changed to the one used in European Pokémon Diamond and Pearl Versions and Pokémon Platinum Version onward (these sprites cannot be seen in-game however.)

The official Japanese Pokémon website has also announced that a future update will increase the limit of players in a Union Room, and enable the Global Trade Station.
