BDSP Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl General Discussion

I think I was perhaps being a bit harsh when I said the battle graphics looked like a mobile game. On closer inspection there's some nice details, like Mt Coronet in the background, and the pretty stars overhead when battling at night. There's just something about the shading that seems a little "off" to me. But I'm glad to see Pokemon using brighter colours again, because that's one of the things I really liked about Let's Go's graphics.
I actually really like the colors in this game. They are vibrant and alive again, opposed to SWSH where nearly the whole gome looks ''frosty'' and muddy.

And in the overworld, I do like how the characters have this sort of ''vinyl'' texture to them. But I honestly don't think it translate that well to the in-battle models. They look way too ''plastic'' to me. Take a look at Dawn's black dress part and you will see it. My biggest complain about this game's visuals are the textures of some stuff tbh.

I don't know if Porygon-Z is indicative to anything since you could still get it in DP
Not before you have the National Dex, because the Dubious Disc evolution item is found on Route 225, in the post-game Battle Zone.

And the National Dex is definitely something we can expect to change, as it isn't in Sword and Shield.

Tecnically speaking Winter starts in December, so the games would release during december. But that's just being overly techical.
Oh yeah, I mentioned November since that's usually when Pokemon games launch, but Winter does start in December.

So my guess would be close to Christmas.

Those are 3D renders. They've never had 3D renders on the covers before, as it's always been 2D artwork.
Those don't look like renders to me. They look more like digital art with a heavy amount of shading to compensate for a lack of solid lineart.

But still, the covers have always used purely 2D artwork, and unless they're gonna change it now these are probably not gonna be the cover images.

Aren't these 3D renders the same ones used on Pokemon Home?
No.

HOME's is clearly a render while I'm pretty certain the artwork on the left is just 2D art with lots of shading.
