As part of a celebration of the Japanese Tsukimi (月見 "moon viewing") festival, Pokémon Center stores in Japan are distributing code cards to redeem Clefairy in-game. To receive a code card, one have to do a "Clefairy Fingers Dance" to the store staff as shown in the video below.

Additionally, a "Mid-Autumn Full Moon Special Program" will be broadcast live on Weathernews LiVE on September 10th, from 9pm to 10pm (JST). During the program, viewers will watch the moon together with the host and Clefairy. Those watching the broadcast will be able to submit images featuring the moon and Clefairy via the "Weather Report" in the "Weather News" app, with 20 winners receiving Clefairy-themed goods. Details on how to participate, and the gifts that winners will receive will be introduced during the program broadcast.

The Clefairy code cards will be distributed until September 11th, or while stock lasts, and can be redeemed in-game until September 30th, at 11:59pm (JST). Three codes will be on the code card, one to redeem Clefairy in Pokémon Sword or Pokémon Shield, one to redeem it on Pokémon Brilliant Diamond or Pokémon Shining Pearl, and one to redeem it on Pokémon Legends: Arceus.

When redeemed in Pokémon Sword, Pokémon Shield, Pokémon Brilliant Diamond, or Pokémon Shining Pearl, Clefairy will know Metronome, Moonblast, Zen Headbutt, and Moonlight.

When redeemed in Pokémon Legends: Arceus, Clefairy will know Swift, Moonblast, Zen Headbutt, and Shadow Ball.
