Pokemon Champion and Elite Four Speculation

A specialized Champion might actually be nice, it's been a while since we last had one (that's even if you consider Alder to have been one)~ So I wouldn't mind one focused on just one type, but I hope it's something unique~

Like with most people here - I am hoping to see a Fairy E4 member (especially a male Fairy-specialist) along with a Normal E4 member - they both have good potential to be very challenging, especially in Elite Four.

Electric is something we haven't seen before in Elite Four too!

A Normal Elite 4/ Champion could potentially have the most type diversity by having each Pokemon with a different subtype too.

They can go many ways with a champion here. They could have him alude to Arthur Pendragon.

Then they could also go a route with someone who Galar sees as a hero for certain deeds instead of having earned the title. Or perhaps the descendent of the creator of Magearna. And he has the Pokéball motif Magearna.

That said, considering its based on the UK and its history with fairytales and all, if done well, I'd actually like it if the champion has mythical/Legendary and being seen by the region as a 'hero' for something.

That said, I actually hope the Elite Four have type diversity instead of the champion. Have the champion specialize and the Elite Four have type diversity in their team.

Usually when a gen is remade, at least one of the Elite 4 types is shared between the current region and the gen that is being remade. Hoenn shared Ice, Ghost, and Dragon with Kanto, Sinnoh shared Psychic with Johto, Kalos shared Dragon with Hoenn, and Alola shared Ghost (and Fighting, but only in SM) with Kanto. If Sinnoh remakes are happening then I expect at least one of the Galar Elite 4 members to specialize in either Bug, Ground, Fire, or Psychic types.

For this region, I'd like them to return to the traditional ladder where there's the leader of the Elite Four (a.k.a. the strongest) and the levels build up as you challenge one by one.

I mentioned before, but if the Queen of Galar (or King I guess) would be the Champion, that'd be cool. Even moreso if the Elite Four all belonged to the "Royal Family."
I think this is a really neat idea. The Champion being the King or Queen with the Elite 4 bieng part of the royal family is a really cool concept that would work well with Galar. Because they are so tied in to the royal family I can imagine them wanting to be very active in helping their home region, which brings up my next hope.

No matter who the champion is, I want them to be more tied in with their region, making appearances occasionally throughout the game, trying to help the player out. It helps give them more time to show off their character and who they are.

I also hope that Title Defense comes back after we become Champion, but I don't want to keep having to fight the Elite 4 every time I want to sit down and do some Champion defense. By the time I got done defeating the Elite 4 in Sun and Moon, I was done wanting to battle. I'd rather just be able to sit down in my chair and go through the trainers who come to challenge me, and if the Elite 4 are among those characters, cool. That's just my thoughts though

I miss seeing a champion with type theme so I hope they return.

there's dragon, steel, water only in the previous gens. I don't mind seeing fairy champion.

Also a female, since we had a male last time and we only have 3 female champs vs the 6 male we already have.

The elite four could be:
Electric
Ghost
Bug
Psychic

Since those are the types that I think aren't shown yet as gyms in galar as well as they haven't been seen together as elite 4.

To satisfy those who want more of a challenge, the Elite Four and the Champion shouldn't specialize at all, imo. I don't particularly think it would undervalue or somehow diminish the standing of the Champion; they'd just use stronger/higher-leveled Pokemon with more competitive movesets.

Oh, and type-specialists don't necessarily have to have a team with strictly one type. Aaron from the Sinnoh E4 had a Drapion and Steven has two fossil pokemon and a Claydol despite being a Steel-type specialist.
