Pokemon Champion and Elite Four Speculation

Bah, Leon seems like another dragon master, so I'm expecting another 600 bst Dragon pokemon again.

We’ve already seen one use for the big stadiums as gyms, but I still can’t imagine a more perfect time for them to introduce an anime style tournament bracket in place of the standard elite four to really change up the formula. Sort of a reverse version of what Ultra Sun and Moon did - 4 “random” battles then the champion.

Who knows? They like to get “meta” as of late, so maybe they’ll have some joke about Leon retaining his position as champion even after you beat him the first time in a nod to the older games. Some quip about why you aren’t forced to stay in the champion’s room and defend your title.

I like these.

Other, (probably less likely) ideas:

• A football hooligan/yob - Fighting type
• A Spy based on James Bond - Ghost or Dark type specialist. Can build him into the plot with elusive, cameo appearances.
• An Aristocrat Lord/Lady type - hard to pick a specific type, but maybe Normal to have a Persian.
• Someone Welsh, like a Rugby player - their team consists almost exclusively of Wooloo, the new sheep Pokémon, with Rain throughout the battle
• An Admiral, referencing maritime history - Water type Pokémon obviously. Already have a water gym which makes this unlikely.

If a gym champion is a man why not the rest females? all with a main type but all their pokemon beeing dual typed. that would make each get 7 types in battle.
