Yahoo! Japan currently operates two separate online sales platforms. Yahoo! Auctions 「ヤフオク!」, the local Japanese version of the original auction site first established internationally in 1998 to compete with eBay (and which now operates only in Japan and Taiwan), and PayPay Flea Market 「PayPayフリマ」, a flea market app integrated with PayPay, Japan's largest mobile payments app and a sister company to Yahoo! Japan under their parent Z Holdings.
Under the terms of this memorandum, Yahoo! Japan is making commitments to improving users compliance with their platforms' terms of use, and their enforcement of those terms of use, including ensuring that listings are clear about exactly what is being sold, and that items are not sold before official release dates. The Pokémon Company in return will be responsible for providing Yahoo! Japan with information about new and existing products, as well as making direct reports to Yahoo! Japan about card listings that violate their website terms.
