Pokémon Creepypasta

That hallucination theory makes sense...and wow. so deep, huh?

Ok guys, before I continue on making the Snow on MT. Silver sprites, I need some suggestions on how to do them. Something doesn't seem right about them so far:

Thanks in advance, I'll get back to work right after I hear your thoughts.

It's nice, but the eyes stand out a bit too much compared to the actual body. That, and they simply look like black dots. If possible, give them a bit of a concave look to them so that the people can tell that they're eye sockets and not just black dots.

Another thing is that you don't want cut-off when you're dealing with decayed body parts. Show a bit of said decay, make it look a bit jagged. The sprites could use a bit of blue to them, also.

The Mystery Knight: Yeah, after it said that Pikachu's black eyes were large, I thought all of their eyes were like that. As for the decay, I agree. I added some reddish coloring to the edges where the part is cut off, but the small size (mixed with the fact that they're 2nd Gen sprites which means, small color variety) makes it a little hard to see. Here's what I've got now, the full front-sprite set:

Got any ideas on how to do the decay with these kind of graphics?

Well, from my understand, GBC sprites are formed of chunks of 8x8 tiles. So you would need to rip the tiles and assemble them, then remove a random tile or two (or some more). each tile should have something around 4 and 8 colors (counting "transparent" as a color)

I tried it and see the result

Here's how I did it:
26819806.png

1: Rip MAP in VBA (the game treats PKMN sprites as BG) and sepparate the tiles (you can see it has 5 blocks, with 8 pixels each. But the grid's subdivision is of 4 instead of 8)

87483506.png

2: Remove a few tiles (two, in this case)

30756865.png

3: Apply a Gradient Map

Missing picture
4: Paint the eyesockets black, change into indexed to save the palette you will get. Then change back to RGB colors

Missing Picture
5: Select tile 3 to 4 tiles around the one(s) that have been removed and "Add Noise" (25% to 50%)

6: Change into the indexed colors, picking "custom" and then the palette you saved. Done.

Sorry, sir. Just offering some criticism on future spriting projects.

Wanna know what would be cool? A pasta about the Regis. Just think about it. Hulking golems of normally inanimate material that talk like robots and have glowing dots for eyes. Kinda scary, if you take all of that into consideration.

I can't think of an idea for that one, but if someone else can turn that into a pasta, I'd be happy.

Great material! *evilsmile*

I've a thought... a Metroid creepypasta... Should I?

Found this on a Google search, pretty good:

A few months ago, I had purchased an MP3 player from the local supermarket. Nothing fancy, as I don't need all of these bells and whistles that most have. It holds 2 gigabytes of data and has no screen or method of selecting song order, but, y'know, it was $15 and it provides me with what I need.

At one point last month, I was listening to some music on my way home, and suddenly there was an 8-bit-sounding track that I didn't recognize. I had a similar occurrence in the first batch of MP3s I loaded onto the device, where I accidentally loaded some music from the game Psycho Soldier that I thought I had deleted, but accidentally dragged into the folder. After deleting the file from the MP3 player, however, the music continued to remain on the device. The only difference was that I never downloaded this new music.

So I listened to this new track that had randomly popped up, trying to pinpoint it. I knew I had heard it somewhere before, but its origin was not immediately forthcoming. It was a strange, eerie tone, and it made my hair feel tingly, as if it were standing up on end. After the track ended and the next began, I pressed the Previous Track button to return to this mystery song, but it simply returned me to the track prior to the new one. I kept cycling between the one that had come before the new track, and the one that came after. There was no sign of this track after it had finished playing. To put it mildly, I began to get creeped out. After I arrived home, however, I put the event out of my mind.

Three days later I was on my way home again, and the track came on in between two other, completely different tracks. I spent some time trying to identify the sound again, and I was still perplexed as to this track's origin. During this time, I happened to glance over a vehicle, a Lincoln Zephyr, which had its logo spelled out in Unowns on the side. I chuckled a bit, finding a Pokémon fan hardcore enough to do such a thing amusing.

The track was still on my mind when I got home, so I set out to do some research. Checking the files on the MP3 player itself, I found that, like the Psycho Soldier track, it was nowhere to be physically found. I checked my download history to see if I had accidentally downloaded it at some point and transferred it without thinking, but there was nothing of the sort.

I also went through several dozen catalogs of 8-bit gaming music, spending hours of time doing so, but did not find a match to this mysterious music. Dismayed, I went to sleep with the tone echoing in my head.

That night, I dreamed of a spectral girl in a long white dress. Possessing long black hair that covered her face and lacking fingernails, she closely resembled The Ring's antagonist. As she floated along a foggy graveyard, she kept chanting "The answer is in the letters," over and over. When I awoke, the dream still lingered in my mind.

It wasn't until the following Monday that I had an opportunity to listen to my MP3 player again, and once again, it happened on my way home from work. This time, I had made the connection. During the previous instance, I had only just happened to glance at the logo of a vehicle once, not paying any attention to any other words or lettering around me. This time, I focused on every sign, every license plate, every pedestrian's t-shirt. All of them, for the duration of the track, were spelled out in the appropriate Unowns.

This is when it had hit me. I hadn't played the game in question for some time, and especially this specific section, which is why the answer was not immediately forthcoming. I raced home to boot up YouTube and confirmed my suspicion: the track was the theme for the Ruins of Alph.

It took a few minutes to absorb all of this. Somehow, the Ruins of Alph music had implanted itself into my MP3 player despite my not having acquired it. It was playing at complete random instances, and when it was occurring, I was seeing Unown in any instance of lettering around me. Okay, it was strange, but not necessarily fear-inducing. At best, it was some sort of repressed memory hallucination.

The following weekend, I was staying overnight at my parents' house. It was late at night, after my folks had gone to bed. My brother was sitting at his computer, and I had brought my laptop, so we were both just checking up on various things such as the news and Facebook before we went to bed. Listening to my MP3 player, I came across the Ruins of Alph track again. I urged my brother to come over and listen to it. Putting one of the headphones on, he said, "Yeah. It's On a Boat."

"You're not hearing some creepy 8-bit music?"

"No. It's definitely On a Boat."

He went back to his computer while I listened to the rest of the track with confusion. Toward the end of the track, there was some sort of weird, garbled noise, like when a CD skips repeatedly. This wasn't here previously, so I took special note of this occurrence. Following the track's end, in which On a Boat actually did start playing, I plugged the MP3 player into the USB slot of my laptop again, searching once more for some sign of a file that I had overlooked before.

Burrowed amongst a wall of MP3 files, was something that stood out from the rest, something I hadn't seen before. It was a file labeled pkmnslvr.gbc. Recognizing this as a Game Boy Color ROM, I booted it up in my emulator.

It was indeed Pokémon Silver, but what I saw upon running the ROM made my palms begin to sweat.

The trainer name was "The S", and upon loading the game, I had my old party from my cartridge game. The current location was the Ruins of Alph. I knew all too well what was going on: this was a ROM of the haunted Silver version I had discarded months earlier!

Scrambling across the keyboard to shut down the emulator, I accidentally bumped the down arrow, causing the trainer to walk forward and enter a battle. The opponent was the Generation 1 MissingNo., just as I had seen in the corrupted Silver version that had plagued me. At this point, my cell phone started ringing - the ring tone was the Ruins of Alph music, complete with the glitchy, garbled noise from the last time I had heard it. I shut down the emulator, deleted the ROM file, and began using my various anti-malware programs to ensure that there was nothing else malicious afoot. Everything passed through clean.

I haven't had any other problems with this MP3 player since then, other than that Psycho Soldier track that I still can't get rid of. As for the cell phone, all that I saw when I finally had the nerve to open it was a missed call message with a blank number.

That, for some reason, gave me the uncontrollable urge to listen to the song 'I'm on a Boat'.

no, like could you post the script? ill do it REAALY QUICK! and well, too.

Snow on Mt Silver is some pages back.

mine is here:

Ninetales Curse
It was another boring saturday. Nothing to do, nothing to play, nothing to listen, nothing to watch. So, what did I do? I went to a ROMs site, of course! I only wanted to find an interesting hack to play and came across one named “Pokemon Ninetales”. No need to say that I downloaded it without reading any other information. The one who made this hack also made a box art and put up a screenshot of the title screen, which featured a Ninetales on a black background and with the title reading “Pokémon Nintetales Version”Soon I realized, by the intro, that it was a Pokémon Crystal hack. “Interesting…”, I thought, “I should play and see where it goes.”.

As I selected “New Game”, the game skipped the naming, time setting and much anything else, taking me straight to the character’s bedroom. Pressing Start, I found out my character was named “Inari” for some reason. The play time was “9hrs 99mins”, which obviously was a hacked time. The money, however, was absolute zero and was in “Yen” instead of “PKMN$”. My character’s picture was Gold’s default and the Gym Leaders pictures were replaced by a “???”. Then I went to check Options and it showed a message:

“NO. YOU HAVE TO PLAY.”

A shiver went up my spine and I shook my head in disbelief. Then tried to save and, funny enough, it DID save. And know what else? It showed I had nine badges. That done, went to PokéGear to check it. Time and day were shown as interrogation signs and I had the phone, map and radio unlocked. The only station that worked in the Radio played the Kimono Girls music, which I actually enjoyed and the phone had only one entry: Ninetales. Funny… Why a Pokémon would have a phone? I didn’t care about that for now, so I went to check the Pokémon.

It was a female Ninetales, LVL 10. The sprite was modified to feature a mask, it had no animation and the cry was only a hissing, a white noise, that lasted one second. The name was simply Ninetales, but the attacks puzzled me: Will-‘o-Wisp, Curse, Kill, Transform. Could a Ninetales have those attacks in Pokémon Crystal? I doubted, but then I remembered this was a hack. So, I went on, playing the game. There weren’t many changes, other than the fact that this was my starter and Professor Elm told me I held an amazing power in my hands.

I tried each attack in the battles with interesting outcomes. Will-‘o-Wisp caused the wild pokémon to run away and the trainers to leave the battle, all of them with the message “Ninetales scared <name> off!”. Everytime I did this to a trainer, they disappeared and did not reappear. Then, I tried Transform. The result was of Ninetales’ back sprite disappearing and a message saying “Ninetales turned into a demon fox.”. One turn after, the trainer and wild pokémon ran away as the message “It is a monster!” appeared underneath. The trainers too disappeared from the map.

Curse’s result was pretty awesome. Ninetales became completly black and the message shown was “<pokémon> has been cursed!”. After the pokémon attacked, a message then reads “<pokémon> disappeared in a dark void!”, as the pokémon in question “sinks” as if fainted. Kill, however, was creepy. The screen flashed red and the pokémon sprite was gone, as Ninetales’ was red. When used on a trainer, the message “<trainer> has been murdered by Ninetales” showed up.

After two Gyms (and, oddly enough, gymleaders that didn’t reward upon their defeat), I received a call from Ninetales. It first said “Want to answer?” and gave me the two common choices (“Yes” and “No”). When I accepted, it asked if I was sure of this choice, to which I replied “No” and a message came up, saying “It might be really important. Why don’t you answer it?”. Rising an eyebrow, I pressed “A” and the same question from before appeared. Okay, then I accepted it and this message came up:

“FEED ME… FEED ME WITH THEIR SOULS… OR ELSE…”

I admit, it freaked me A LOT! My hands shivered and then I continued to play. After the next gym, another call. But the reply was forced. This time, the message was “See, I’m growing stronger, master. I love you, you are a great master.”. Still confused by her sudden change of heart, I went to check her. She was LVL 20, her sprite changed, with her having red markings and a tail missing. She was now holding an item: “Soul”

“Soul?!”, I thought, “What might it be?”. I tried to take from her and a message said “Please, don’t.”. So, I let her be. After another gym and pretty close from the fifth, another call came. This time, it asked me if I wanted to answer. I said “No” over and over, and the Kimono Girls music sounded strange, as if extended or distorted, after a while. Then I decided to answer to the call, only to be freaked again:

“YOU SEEM DELICIOUS, MY SLAVE! I WILL EAT YOU SOON!”

That startled me a bit, and got me to check her status. Ths sprite’s ‘mask’ was gone and so was another tail. Ninetales’ face was contorted into a smirk and the eyes seemed to blink in this evil smirk. The held item was now “Heart”. The moveset was unchanged. I kept playing and then noticed something weird about my character profile picture: it was wearing Ninetales’ mask! How that got here? I don’t know. I went to the bag to check if I had anything and I DID have one item: Mask. When I tried to use, it said “But you ARE using it already!”, and it lacked description.

The game went on, one tail disappearing after each gym, Ninetales’ held item changing into creepy ones (even “Skull”, “Liver”, “Brain”) and the calls coming. I was entering the Indigo Plateu and then a last call: “NOW IT IS TIME FOR ME TO COLLECT MY REWARD!”. The screen went black instantly. After two seconds, a message reads: “Ninetales used FLASH”. “Hey, she doesn’t have that move!”, I thought. Once the place lit up, I realized I was in a sort of labyrinth of floating platforms linked by patches of dirt, on which I could walk on.

And so I did. To my regret, every platform had a pokémon and/or trainer I “killed” with Ninetales’ “Kill”. None of them could interact with me, I went through them as if they were part of the ground and, after some platforms, another call: “Master… What did you do? Why did you use me so wrongly? I loved you… I really did…”. And then a message: “Ninetales died”. It was a shock, which caused me to check her status. Her sprite was of her lying down, with all her nine tails there, but no mask. She had no attack, she had 0/0 HP and she was LVL 0 now. Her only held item was “Inari’s Love”.

I couldn’t stop shivering and sheding tears, as I saw that very message. “What did I do?! I killed her!”, I thought as the grief took my heart. It was all over… Or not? No, it was not. I checked my trainer data and almost jumped: The “???” that replaced the gym leader pictures were now replaced by the various held items that Ninetales had until she died: Soul (in the form of a will-‘o-wisp), heart, skull, liver, brain, hand, guts and, lastly… a FOX MASK!

I left that screen and went to explore that hell I was in. Suddenly, once I got on a platform that had a yellow pokemon on a red water (which I presumed that was Ninetales), Gold turned into a yellow pokemon like this one. a message then said “WHAT HAVE YOU BECOME?”. I checked the player information now and the player picture was replaced by a Ninetales with the mask on. I tried to access my Ninetales’ Status and it said “YOU ARE NINETALES”. It was not true, I didn’t believe this. When interacting with the Ninetales in the puddle of blood, a mesage appeared:

“GO BACK!”

Whenever I tried, it only told me to go back… And I followed the path back to where I started. There I found Gold’s sprite standing there, as if looking straight at me. And it was, actually. Because it then said: “It is you… You are the one who controlled us to do all those horrible things… Now I can take revenge on you.”. A battle began against this Gold, but his name was Inari and mine… Was my real name (which I prefer to not disclose).

Inari sent out a creepy Ninetales: It was blood red, had long claws, a sharp bone extending from the end of each tail, long fangs and an evil smirk. As if it wasn’t enough, it was standing on a puddle of blood. As for mine, it didn’t send out anything, as my character was now the pokémon. Instead, it just prompted the attack menu with the attacks: Ember, Bite, Scratch and Growl. We were both LVL 100 and whenever I attacked it only showed “You can’t attack, you are too scared to even move.” and the enemy didn’t attack. After ten turns… The enemy used a mysterious new attack: Slaughter.

The screen went black and it showed a pair of red eyes in the center and two message boxes. The one on the top reads: “NINETALES EATS YOU!”, as the one below reads:

“YOU HAVE BEEN CURSED, AND SO IS ANY WHO READS THIS MESSAGE!”

Suddenly, a ghostly variant of Kimono Girls music played.

More from the tumblr site

S.L. Ender
A few years ago my friend purchased a supposedly hacked version of red online. When it arrived he put it in his old gameboy color and booted it up started a new character and went off on a another faintly nostalgic adventure. He played for hours but couldn’t really find anything that would be consider hacked, and he thought he’d been ripped off by another asshole on the internet.

He eventually reached Lavender town and that’s when things got strange. He reached the part with the ghost and was on his way to Saffron and by chance he happened to find one tombstone in the tower that could actually be read it, it simply read S.L. Ender. He didn’t think much of it and went on with the game, when he eventually got back to the tower he identified and defeated marowak, but then but for the rest of the game just on the edge of the screen there was an unidentifiable character that would follow him no matter where he went, my friend thought this was the glitch, that it summons some kind of ghost or something and eventually he made it to the indigo plateau and finished the game.

After that he went back to his house in pallet to save for the last time but when he went in he noticed that the ghost man didn’t follow him. he went back outside and noticed that the man was no longer on the edge of the screen but sitting maybe 5 or 6 paces in front of the house. He saved for the last time and turned off the game for good, understandably pissed at the ‘hacked’ game he bought. The next night he couldn’t get to sleep because one of the dogs that his neighbor commonly left outside wouldn’t stop barking, he looked out his window and saw a tall almost gangly man sitting on the bus stop bench across from his house, which was odd because the buses didn’t run that late. He thought maybe it was just some one who was out for a late night jog or something and let it go and went to bed.

He woke up around 3 in the morning to answer the call of nature, and on his way back to his bed he passed the window and noticed the man was still sitting there, he was unnerved but figured the man must have fallen asleep. The next day he woke up looked out his window and to his relief the man was gone. That same night he was settling in when he noticed the strange absence of the barking of his neighbors dog, he peered out his window only to see someone was sitting at the bus stop again.

He didn’t get much sleep. Over the next couple of days a lot of people in the neighborhood were complaining that their pets where disappearing, He reported to the neighborhood watch about the man at the bus stop and they said they’d keep an eye out for him. Then a couple of nights later his mom asked him to take the trash to the curb, he was hesitant but after prodding from his mother he went to the garage opened the door and to his dismay someone was waiting at the bus stop. He went to the curb left the trash and walked very quickly back into the garage. As he was reaching for the button he looked back and saw the man tilted his head up to look at him, and that’s when he started to freak. The man appeared not to have a face. The man stood up and started taking long strideful steps toward the garage. My friend pushed the button and the garage started closing. The door closing seemed to last an eternity, the man continued his long stride towards the garage picking up the pace just a little. His long, inhuman, awkward gait burning its image into his brain. The door closed just as he reached the threshold of the garage. My friend stood in horror as the man peered through the plastic windows on the door and put his hand on the glass lightly tapping on it, My friend ran back inside and locked all the windows and doors he wouldn’t tell his parents why he was so distressed, He just told them he would feel better if they were locked. He went to bed that night looked out the window and the man was sitting at the bus stop looking back at him.He wouldn’t leave the house after dark, from then on.

a few years ago he moved out to California, haven’t heard from him since.

Awhile ago I went searching on the web for the guy who sold him the Pokemon cartridge, but the strange thing is they’ve never had any seller of a hacked Pokemon red cartridge on record.

Hell Bell
After the fourth generation of Pokémon disappointed him so much, my brother tossed me all his Pokémon stuff in disgust. I received hundreds of cards to add to my collection, the Blastiose plush he won at King’s Island nine years ago, and the Diamond game that completely swept away his love for the game and all things associated with it. That chapter of his life came to a sad close while mine just gained something to continue on.

Admittedly, the games that had come out for the DS disappointed me as well, there was just something about it all that made the magic the games normally held fade away a little…as a person who grew up with the originals, generation four simply wasn’t ‘my’ Pokémon anymore. Regardless, I wasn’t going to turn my back on something that accompanied me through childhood simply because the game disappointed me a little.

In fact, I wanted Diamond. Dialga was a hundred times better looking than Palkia and I rather enjoyed the thought of finally getting to be the one to catch it this time around instead of having to hack one or trade for it.

Before I continue, I must tell you that this doesn’t involve Dialga at all. I just like it and originally wanted Diamond, but had to settle for Pearl because my brother got to it first. This does start off with a legendary Pokemon, however, though I’m certain that if I had used any other, the outcome would have been the same…this happening seemed to be meant for me…otherwise it probably wouldn’t have happened at all…which I would have been completely fine with.

I started up his saved game just to see what all he had. His save information said he had all the pokemon in his Dex, even the ones that had yet to be released through wireless events, which reminded me that he really enjoyed using Action Replay codes to enhance his gaming experience…That was probably the only thing that caused him to keep the game for as long as he did…but even cheating gets old after a while.

After starting his game, I checked his party; he had six shiny, level 100 Rayquazas. Like all the other pokemon he owned, he caught them using the lengthy ‘encounter any pokemon’ code where you had to discard heart scales to indicate which pokemon you wanted to catch at level 100. While the pokemon encountered with this code were about as weak as if you had given them a large number of Rare Candy, I still recall losing to these six frequently.

I had used this code myself throughout my first play through of Pearl, and I traded these across the net to increase my chances of winning at the lottery. Or, at least that’s what I did before a friend scolded me and I was more or less forced to start over cheat-free. While he needed no pokemon to complete his pokedex and he didn’t need to win any extra items, trading was always a fun experience for me just to see where they came from.

So, I went to Jubilife City to the Global Trading Center to see what I could get for one of these Rayquazas. I know I could have traded anything, but I secretly held a grudge against these six for beating me so badly all those times.

Once in the trading network, I offered one up for a Bronzong that I had picked at random out of the first list. Of course, I couldn’t choose a gender, but I chose the required level to be 100, just to make it more or less an even trade. After that, I left for a little while.

After doing nothing of particular interest for about six hours, I came back to see if I had any takers for the trade. I immediately got excited when the trade sequence started up. I know it was just a simple Bronzong, but still, I like this process a great deal. You could send me a Magikarp and I’ll get excited for a little bit.

You know how the process goes; I won’t bother explaining the actions on the screen to you. Long story short, I received a shiny Bronzong named ‘Hell Bell’.

I was shocked to get a shiny in return, I never got a shiny when I traded in Pearl…but the name was unsettling to me…Being a slightly religious person, I’m not comfortable speaking about anything pertaining to hell or anything like that…even writing this makes me feel like I’m provoking a similar event to happen again…let’s just hope this functions as a learning experience for you and not something else for me.

After leaving, I checked its stats; everything was set at 666, its old trainer was named ‘Beelze’ (which, again, both points slip into my sensitive area…), and it was caught at Lost Tower but contained in a cherish ball.

Clearly, it was hacked, but it’s what I get for offering up a hack first.

The stats and other information of the pokemon disturbed me only for the fact that I didn’t like its name or information, but I assumed it was fine otherwise. Regardless, I didn’t want it, so I tried offering it up for trade again…this would be where I’d gladly accept a Magikarp. But, each time I tried to put it into the GTS, the game informed me that the pokemon couldn’t be offered in a trade.

This had happened to me several times before when I tried to trade hacked legendaries, I assume there’s something in place that keeps people from getting truly ripped off…but I was able to trade that Rayquaza and ‘Beelze’ was able to trade me Hell Bell this go around…I didn’t know why it wouldn’t allow me to offer it again.

I still wanted to be rid of it; so obviously, the only other option I had was to release it. Before I went to the PC, however, I checked the item it was holding. The sender had attached mail to it, which was always fun…even though your choices for what to say are severely limited and the letters always come out painfully cheesy (That’s one of the things I don’t like, the revamp of the mail system).

I chose Hell Bell and selected to read the mail, though the letter wasn’t set up like it normally was in the game, it looked like it had actually been typed out like you used to be able to do in Gold and Silver. The message was only three words long:

‘Take me back.’

I wasn’t quite sure what that meant. I certainly couldn’t trade it again…even if I could, there was no way I could make sure Hell Bell got back to Beelze so I discarded the message and went to the PC to release it.

I selected the ‘deposit pokemon’ option and selected Hell Bell to release it, but each time the party sprite shrunk away, it immediately came back with the message saying something along the lines of “Hell Bell doesn’t want to leave you!”

Again, this had happened before when I was clearing out my PC box in my second play through of Pearl. I wanted a little more room and decided to release a Shinx that I had caught early on in the game, but it kept coming back. I had thought it was cute then and made the Shinx (now a Luxray) a permanent member of my party since it appeared to like me so much…but now it was just annoying.

When I checked Hell Bell again, it was holding another mail item…which made no sense since I had taken it away the first time. I opened it and read a slightly longer message:

‘I can’t go back on my own. Take me back.’

Again, I took the item and tried to release it. Another failure.

When I tried to simply deposit it, the game told me to remove the mail item from the pokemon before depositing…I know I had, twice…but upon checking it again, Hell Bell had yet another mail item in its possession.

‘Lost Tower.’

It was finally getting more specific, which I found oddly relieving rather than feeling a little uneasy as I probably should have been. At least I knew where it wanted to go…maybe it’d leave my party after I took it there. I’d like to know why this pokemon was making my game behave so strangely. The pokemon was hacked, not the game itself…as far as I know, a decent hack doesn’t affect the game and a bad hack can make it crash…but this was doing neither, more like something in between.

Eager to get rid of it, I left the GTS building and stepped out into Jubilife. I was too impatient to pick an actual flying type out of the PC, so I just taught one of the Rayquazas the move ‘Fly’ and chose to use it. But, when I picked Solaceon Town from the map, the game informed that I couldn’t fly there…I know my brother had visited the city before, I don’t know why I couldn’t go there…but I didn’t take the time to actually think about it, I just flew to Hearthome instead.

I didn’t waste time in Hearthome, I simply left to travel through Route 209 to get to the Lost Tower and hopefully rid myself of this strange pokemon somehow by taking it where it wanted to go.

I immediately noticed the lack of people on the Route. Granted, I don’t remember who all was there to battle and things of that sort, but I know there were at least a few there…the area here was completely vacant…

Well, not completely, there was one person quickly pacing back and forth where I believe an athlete once ran that I didn’t quite recognize; the sprite of a white-haired old man.

Curious, I spoke to him…which was where it began to get a little weird for me. He didn’t say anything that made sense, but babbled over and over for an annoyingly long amount of time much like when you speak to a specific cyclist on the bike trail in Ruby, Sapphire, and Emerald. You know, the one who knows where you got your bike because the name is all over it.

“RING THE BELL RING THE BELL RING THE BELL RING THE BELL RING THE BELL RING THE BELL RING THE BELL RING THE BELL RING THE BELL RING THE BELL RING THE BELL RING THE BELL RING THE BELL RING THE BELL RING THE BELL RING THE BELL RING THE BELL RING THE BELL RING THE BELL RING THE BELL RING THE BELL RING THE BELL RING THE BELL RING THE BELL RING THE BELL RING THE BELL RING THE BELL RING THE BELL RING THE BELL RING THE BELL RING THE BELL RING THE BELL”

That meant nothing to me, I didn’t bother speaking to him again, I just continued on to the Tower.

Once inside, I tried to go up the stairs, but something prevented me from moving for a moment. I thought all the hacked pokemon had finally made my game screw up, but that wasn’t the case. After a moment of complete silence, the sound of a deep brazen bell began to slowly toll (If you’re curious about how that sounded exactly, start up your HeartGold/SoulSilver game. That bell, that’s the noise)

After about four rings, the tombstone in the center of the room cracked and shattered like someone had used Rock Smash on it. Beneath the tombstone was a hole, since it wasn’t allowing me to go up the stairs, I walked over and fell through it.

When I landed, I fell on a platform much like the one you find Arceus on in the Hall of Origin (don’t act like you don’t know what I’m talking about, we’ve all hacked that event.) only it was much darker. Where the transparent platform was white and glowing for Arceus, this one was more of a blackened red…it just seemed evil rather than the ‘holy’ vibe you get from the Hall of Origin. Coming from the platform was a set of wide stairs that looked as if they were made of black marble rather than white.

There was no way back up (couldn’t fly, no diggers, and I was Escape Rope poor.) So I took the stairs and the bell (which I now assume was Hell Bell considering that Bronzong is indeed a sort of bell) continued to ring slowly.

By now, I was feeling incredibly uneasy (wouldn’t you?) but I continued down the stairs. As I went further, it began to get foggy and a little darker. When I reached the bottom, I was met with a narrow path with large pools of magma/lava on either side…it was beginning to look more like the cave in which you encounter Groudon in R/S/E, with better graphics, of course.

The path continued in a straight line for about forty steps before hanging right for another forty and finally going up. The final path was long; magma still bubbled at the side, and with each step I took…The ringing of the bell began to go faster, at least as fast as a large bell was allowed to ring…which was still just an ominous, slow tolling. Though, with each ring, I couldn’t help but repeat what the old man NPC had said earlier…”Ring. The. Bell.”

Finally, I reached the end of the pathway, which was just as small 4x4 platform, and the bell stopped ringing. I wondered what I was supposed to do here, there was nothing here to do, no way to release Hell Bell, and no way to get out…I received my answer in the form of a disembodied ‘voice’. A dialogue box popped up and said:

“Oh, you’ve returned Hell Bell to me? I really appreciate it.”

He faded into view one space ahead in front of my sprite, it was just a simple ‘gentleman’ sprite, and the party sprite of Hell Bell came out of me and stood in the space between us facing him. The game informed me that I handed over Hell Bell.

Next, a thing popped up on the touch screen, it looked like the part of the trainer card where you sign your name. Again, the voice spoke:

“Would you mind telling me your name please so that I may thank you properly?”

Now this confused me…well, everything that was happening confused me, but this really threw me for a loop. First, the game should know the character name programmed into it from the start…and, as far as I know, it can’t actually recognize handwriting. Regardless, I began writing my brother’s character’s name, which was ‘Dust’. I made the first stroke; it was in black ‘ink’ just like normal, and made a ‘D’, but the voice stopped me:

“No, no, your real name please. I can’t thank you with a false name, you know.”

My heart felt like it stopped for a second and sunk right into my stomach before violently bounding back up into my chest, how the hell did the game know that I wasn’t signing my real name?

“Your real name, please.”

Again, I began writing. Why I was listening to this, watching it all play out when I could easily just turn it off or star a completely new game, I don’t know…The thought simply didn’t cross my mind at the time…I don’t think it was allowed to.

The ‘ink’ in which I was now writing was a bright red color…but I still wrote my full name, first and last, in the space I was provided. After I was finished, the man spoke again:

“Good, now blow, please? We don’t want the ink to smudge.”

I blew into the mic and the ‘ink’ turned from bright to deep red. I was unable to make and changes after that. Afterward, the screen disappeared and the man spoke again:

“Thank you, miss. You’ll be happy to know that you now belong to me.”

The bell tolled twice more as my sprite, currently male, turned to face me and shifted to the female sprite…brown hair, wearing all black…just like I was at the moment.

Hell Bell moved forward, over lapping my sprite, and a final dialogue box popped up:

“Hell Bell used IMPRISONMENT”

After that…my DS battery died. I was shaken, I’ll admit, but it just seemed like a twisted event brought about by some sort of secret within the game unlocked by a pokemon…but now…

I can’t sleep, food seems to turn to ash in my mouth, no water can quench my thirst, and people and animals both act as if the shadow of death is passing by them when I’m near…I’m not my own anymore…I belong to that man…and Hell Bell.

I don’t know what became of that pokemon, but if I received it, someone else is surely to do so…Use caution while using the trading system, please…and, if you receive Hell Bell, don’t hesitate to reset. Your special, once-in-a-lifetime event pokemon aren’t worth the cost of your very soul…

Wanna know what would be cool? A pasta about the Regis. Just think about it. Hulking golems of normally inanimate material that talk like robots and have glowing dots for eyes. Kinda scary, if you take all of that into consideration.

Some pages back someone mentioned a Japanese creepypasta based on the Regis, which compares their locations to the bombing of Hiroshima and Nagasaki. That's as far as I know. Here's this pic that's somewhat creepy though:

I believe that Ninetails one was already posted. We're having quite a few incidents like that, aren't we?

Still waiting for someone to take on my pasta request. I'm suffering from a bit of writer's block myself.

EDIT: Due to Reyaira ninjaing me, I have to comment on those pastas here.

The first one I was totally unable to read due to the cursed block paragraphs. The second one was genius. I was absolutely surprised that no one found/wrote a pasta along those lines yet, with the Satanic references and the whol 666 stuff.

"Hell Bell" was absolutely amazing, it took me by surprise; I was expecting a Heal Ball gone wrong (for whatever reason).

S. L. Ender was really good, too, and got the whole atmosphere attached to the Slender Man across perfectly. Heh, I just now got what the title meant, too. ^^;

Sorry about the block paragraphs. I pasta'd it here without reading it first and I just editted it to space it up a bit more. While it isn't very well written I found it creepier than the second one, thought it might be because I'm an atheist.

You do? I didn't quite get that part. :S I'm half asleep today.

....I said I wasn't going to join while reading this thread, but...I had to.>.> Damn you, creepy pastas.

But yeah, the S.L. Ender freaked me out so much. It may be because I'm absolutely terrified of Slender Man, and I read it while it was storming and I was home alone. As in...ten minutes ago.

But I honestly have to say my favorite is the Pokemon Black one.

I'm also tempted to write my own sometime, but I lost the amazingly creepy idea I had. Although, I think a story that would be kinda cool, if not entirely creepy, would be a story about Pokemon being stuck into the daycare with a Ditto. *shudders* I do it all the time, but it's so creepy to think about.

I doubt the Ditto actually copulates in that form - I believe it uses Transform, and then "does it".

Of course, canon could prove me entirely wrong, and if that's actually the way it goes about... eurgh. If I were an animal, I'd hate to have something mold around my privates too.
