A sequel to Pokémon: Proxy Pink, which is a rewrite of Ash Ketchum’s journey if he was a girl. Like Proxy Pink, this story is based on the games rather than the anime.

This is a sequel to Pokémon Proxy Pink (I know it has only one chapter completed and another on the way but I just wanted to make it as I felt like it).
And yes, Ash (Ashley) ages in this story.
Unlike Proxy Pink, this story and the one after don’t have Pikachu being her starter but she does get a Pikachu in the story. You can catch a Pikachu at Route 4, so Pikachu (and Milcery) are going to be caught near the same time.
This is the Team I plan for her to have near the end of the story.
I made it in Pokémon Team Planner.

It consists of male Pikachu, male Rillaboom (my starter in most of my games is male, I’m playing Sword and also basing the story on this), Drednaw, Alcremie, Appletun, Polteagist.

Chapter 1 is already done, but I’m gonna post it later. I am also doing Chapter 2 currently and it should be finished soon, and I’ll publish it as soon as I’m done with it.

Edit: Here it is!
Chapter 1 — The Discovery
After grabbing her bag and hat, Ashley walks out the door to find Hop, a childhood friend, waiting outside. “Race you to my house!” he says as he runs off. Ashley quickly follows, and goes into the house. Hop asked his mom if his brother Leon is home, but when she responds no, Hop and Ashley leave to go to Wedgehurst Station.
Sure enough, Leon’s at the station, as he does his famous Charizard pose. Hop and Ashley are the last to come to try to look over a crowd of people watching Leon.

As soon as Hop calls him, Leon notices his brother and his friend. Hop is excited to see Leon, who sees Ashley. Soon, the three head back to Hop’s house.

After seeing the three starters entertain them, Ashley gets excited sparkles in her eyes and wants to pick a starter. One problem: she doesn’t know which one to pick. After she takes a look at all starters, she decides on Grookey. This is a male Grookey who she names Nori. Later, they eat kebabs for dinner.

The next day, Ashley returns and Leon decides she and his brother (Hop) should battle. At first she is unsure, but about a second later, she accepts. Hop is super excited to battle and sends out his Wooloo first. Ashley sends out Nori, who uses Scratch, since it is the only offense attack it knows. Wooloo counters with Tackle.
The same thing happens two more times until Wooloo faints. Nori learns Branch Poke as Hop sends out Sobble.

To try out a new move, Nori uses Branch Poke, and then Sobble uses Tackle. Same thing once again, and Sobble faints, then it causes Ashley to win the battle.

After the battle, Leon tells Ashley that she may need to get a Pokédex, before she begins to take on the Gym Challenge.

Then, Hop tells her that they should go to the Research Lab. As soon as possible, she runs back home to tell her mother, but both of them hear a crashing sound. Despite being warned not to go, the Trainers go through an open gate into a forest to find this lost Wooloo. There’s also lots of fog. While walking in the tall grass, there’s a Skwovet that leaps out, but Ashley tells Nori to faint it, so she can continue to help Hop find Wooloo. After running more, both of them go across the bridge, and another Pokémon in tall grass: Rookidee. Nori uses its move Branch Poke but is hit with Peck. Ashley and Nori start to run away but a howling sound can be heard. Then, another Skwovet appears. They run away.

They continue running in the fog, until they’re so far, none of them can see what’s in front of them. Suddenly, a blue dog that has pink on it appears. Nori uses Branch Poke, but it doesn’t work so it uses Growl, which also doesn’t work now. It gets foggier. Nori uses Scratch, but this doesn’t work, it’s foggier. Then, it disappears.

Later, Leon finds them. After Charizard found Wooloo in the forest, they leave. After Ashley returns home, this is when her mother gives her pocket money to bring with her, during the adventure. Ashley gives Mom a hug and then leaves.

Chapter 2 — The Endorsement
After saying goodbye to Mom, Ashley runs out the door, to go to Wedgehurst. After getting to Route 1, this is when she sees a purple building with a red and white PokéBall, and was going to go there, but she notices four Wooloo are in the way.

After running through grass, Ashley spots a Nickit, and decides she would like to catch it, and throws a Poké Ball at it. Sure enough, it goes in, and stays in. Nickit is now a member of her team. After buying brand new clothes and changing to them, Ashley goes with Leon to Wedgehurst Research Lab and a tall girl with orange hair twisted in a long ponytail and sunglasses on her head enters. This girl is Sonia. There is a yellow dog named Yamper. Sonia gives Ashley a Pokédex.

After Ashley leaves, someone gives her a Potion and then leaves the area. Next, Ashley goes to a Pokémon Center and meets up with Hop, who goes in with her. When he leaves, she gives Nickit a nickname: Choco.

After she left, she met up with Hop, who told her about an exciting thing known as the Gym Challenge, which is an annual competition where a Trainer can battle it out for the right to challenge the Champion. He says a Trainer needs to have an endorsement, but says Leon doesn’t think he’s cut out for it.

After he runs off, Ashley runs after him. At Route 2, Leon shows up and gives her 20 PokéBalls, then leaves. Then, Hop leaves. After that, Ashley walks through the patches of grass, and finds a Yamper. Nori uses Branch Poké, and Yamper uses Tackle. The same thing happens again, and then she throws a PokéBall at Yamper, and it goes in. She nicknames it Glaze.

After catching Yamper, Ashley spots a Trainer, and runs to him and battles him. This is Youngster Jake.

Jake sends out Skwovet who uses Tackle after Nori uses Branch Poke. Eventually, Skwovet goes down. After this, along with encountering a Rookidee, and running away, she is near the Professor’s house. Youngster Benjamin wants to battle. He sends Blipbug, then Ashley sends Nori. Blipbug uses Struggle Bug which is super effective. Since Branch Poke isn’t very effective, Nori uses Scratch as Blipbug faints. Next is Nickit, who uses Quick Attack, as Nori uses Branch Poke. At the next turn, the same thing happens, but then Nickit faints.

When arriving at the house, Leon is talking with Professor Magnolia who lives at the house. They are inside, while Leon mentions the Dynamax phenomenon. Then, the kids find out they won’t be endorsed, as Leon thinks they’re not very experienced. After Magnolia convinces him, he says Hop and Ashley should battle to see if they can be endorsed.

After they head outside, they start to battle. Nori uses the move Branch Poke and Wooloo uses Tackle. Nori uses Branch Poke again, and makes it faint. Next is Rookidee. Glaze is sent out and uses Nuzzle. This move is super effective. The move is so effective, not only does it almost knock it out, but it also paralyzes it. Glaze uses Nuzzle again, making it faint.

Last is Sobble. Ashley brings out Nori, who uses Branch Poke. Sobble uses Water Gun. It uses Branch Poke again. It causes Sobble to faint. Ashley wins, and Leon decides to have both her and Hop get endorsed. Suddenly, the kids see a star in the sky: it’s a Wishing Star. They each take one, and Ashley learns it helps a Pokémon Dynamax. Hop declares not one, or two, but three times he will be the greatest Trainer ever. Then Sonia arrives.

The next day, Magnolia gives their Wishing Stars back, in the form of these Dynamax Bands. Later, Hop goes to the Wedgehurst train station and Ashley follows. Not before she catches a Blipbug. On the way, Ashley meets a lass named Lauren, who she battles. Lauren sends Chewtle, but it goes down with one hit as Water and Rock are both weak to Grass. After she’s ran less than a mile, there is a Chewtle who is almost stepped on. Ashley has decided to battle it but knowing what came in her battle, Ashley has Nori use Scratch, and wants to catch it.

Chewtle uses Water Gun after the first time, and Bite after the second. After this, Ashley throws a PokéBall, and just like that Chewtle stays in.

After going to the Station, Hop tells her about TM moves and they both go in the train station. Hop’s mom comes, and so does Ashley’s mother. They give them Camping Gear, and then they leave. On the train, Ashley and Hop sit in seats opposite to each other at a table, scrolling through their Rotom Phones learning about Motostoke. Due to this heard of Wooloo on the train tracks, they stop at the Wild Area. Hop is checking out the Wild Area, and a few miles from it is a castle leading to Motostoke. Sonia arrives, saying that Magnolia has given her an earful about “what is Sonia doing with her life?”

Sonia also gives Ashley a Pokémon Box Link, giving her all access to her PC Boxes almost wherever. After leaving, Ashley runs around the Wild Area and sees a Butterfree, then gets so distracted, she loses it. Next, Ashley meets a Hiker and buys a few camping items. After buying 5 of each, Ashley runs off, to see a wild Bunnelby in the area and then run away. Then, this other Butterfree and a Xatu appear. Ashley tries to catch both, but they leave.

Finally, Ashley arrives in Motostoke. She meets Sonia next to the Pokémon Center. After they go in, Sonia tells her all about Rotomi, which means Rotom Information, and also League Cards, then she leaves. Ashley makes a new league card.

After this and healing up, Ashley and Sonia part ways, as Ashley goes to a boutique to get another outfit, but she leaves not too long after that. Then, she goes to a hair salon and has her hair dyed and elongated, along with eyelash extensions and a pink lipstick. She also removes her hat and glasses, then runs into Sonia at the clothing store.

Then, on the way to the stadium, she meets up with Leon, and his Charizard, who are also headed to the stadium. After she arrives, Hop is also there, and they both go in. Then, a mysterious boy with curly white hair and a pinkish outfit has walked out of the stadium. Hop and Ashley register and now they have Challenger Bands. After that, they go to a hotel, to stay the night there. This hotel is Budew Drop Inn. They both check in. Sonia tells Ashley and Hop about the Darkest Day.

After this, Ashley finds Team Yell, and battles them. Nori is able to faint a Zigzagoon and a Nickit. Then, Hop comes in to help, and the same thing as before happens: male has Zigzagoon, while female has Nickit. Ashley has Nori and Hop has Wooloo. Both of them win. After this, a girl with black hair in pigtails, and a pink dress appears. There is also a Pikachu-like Pokémon next to her. After the battle, they check in.

Chapter 3
Chapter 3 — The Challenge
The next day, Hop and Ashley go to Motostoke Stadium to watch the opening ceremony. At Motostoke Stadium, she is in a uniform with a 315 on the back. Then it starts. Chairman Rose, and a woman with blonde hair and red dress is next to him. This is Oleana. The Leaders enter. The Grass type Milo, Water type Nessa, Fire type Kabu, Fighting type Bea, Fairy type Opal, Rock type Gordie, and Dragon type Raihan. Lastly, Ashley enters.

After the ceremony, Leon and Rose come up to the kids, to tell them about the Gym Challenge, and the first Gym is in an entirely new town: Turffield. After leaving and heading to the third Route, Hop challenges her to a battle. He sends Wooloo, and Ashley sends Nori. It uses Branch Poke three times, and a second before the third time, Hop uses a Potion on Wooloo. Nori uses Branch Poke four more times, causing Wooloo to faint. Next is Rookidee. Ashley switches out Nori for Glaze, as Grass is weak to Flying but Electric is not. After Glaze uses its Nuzzle on the second turn, Rookidee is paralyzed. After Glaze uses it a second time, Rookidee faints. Finally, Hop calls Sobble and tells it to use Water Gun. But Nori makes it faint by two Branch Pokes. After the battle, Hop gives her his League Card, and runs. On Route 3, Ashley spots a Goosifleur, catches it, and names it Fiore. After this, there is a Lass who challenges her to a battle. She sends out Vulpix. It uses Tackle on Nori, but it is really close to fainting. Nori uses Branch Poke thrice. Suddenly, Orba evolves into Dottler.

A few steps later, Ashley runs into Schoolgirl Hannah, who sends out Pancham. Ashley sends out Nori. It uses Razor Leaf, then knocks out less than half its HP. Its next turn is Branch Poke. After another Branch Poke, it causes Pancham to faint. After this battle, Ashley sees a Zigzagoon. It looks different than normal Zigzagoon, so it must be Galarian Zigzagoon. After noticing this, she catches it and names it Ru.

After this, Ashley gets closer to Turffield and notices Sonia is nearby. Sonia tells her about the energy factory that is over the horizons. After Sonia left, Ashley sees a Rolycoly and then battles it. However, Nori accidentally faints it.

After a bit more running, Ashley meets a girl named Becca who is camping. Becca’s team consists of a Vulpix, an Oddish, a Stufful, a Bounsweet, and a Wooloo. After playing for a bit, Ashley decides to cook curry for them. So she and Becca start making curry with two Cheri Berries and Precooked Burger. It gets done, as it comes as Spicy Burger Steak Curry. They start eating it and liking it. After this, they say goodbye to Becca.

Near the Galar Mine, Ashley runs into Schoolboy Peter. He sends Sizzlipede. Nori uses Branch Poke. Both times it Branch Pokes Sizzlipede, it’s not very effective. After Scratch a couple of times, Nori faints. Fang enters the battle, and it used Water Gun, causing Sizzlipede to faint. Peter sends Dottler, and Ashley sends Glaze. Glaze uses its Bite three times (confused after the first time). It then causes Dottler to faint.

After going in the mine, Ashley follows a railroad trail and meets Worker Sandra, then battles her. Nori takes out Diglett, then Fang and Fiore take out Drilbur. Nori tries to evolve, but, it doesn’t want to.

Eventually, Ashley makes it to near the end of the mine, as she sees a white and pink kid at the end. This is Bede. Bede is bragging about himself and challenges her to a battle. First is Solosis. Nori used Scratch, which knocks out some of its HP. Solosis uses Confusion three times. The second time almost knocks out Nori, and the third time faints it. Realizing what has to be done, Ashley sends out Choco, and it uses this move it learned: Snarl. Solosis goes down. Next is Hatenna. With Choco out, Ashley figured it would be an easy feat. Until Hatenna starts using Disarming Voice. It knocks off a quarter of Choco’s HP. The same moves are used. This time, more than half of Choco’s HP is gone. After this third time, Choco is almost knocked out. It uses Snarl for the fourth time and knocks out Hatenna. Finally, Gothita. As it knows no Fairy moves, Choco thinks it’ll be alright. After using Snarl the second time, Gothita uses Pound, which almost faints Choco. After it uses Snarl, Gothita is knocked out and Bede loses. Bede leaves, and Ashley leaves also.

On Route 4, Ashley is almost at Turffield when she spots a Pikachu. And a female Pikachu at that. Ashley runs to it and sends Nori. Nori uses Branch Poke, but Pikachu uses Spark, to paralyze Nori. It tries to use Branch Poke, but fails, due to the paralysis. Nori avoids Pikachu’s next attack, as it uses Branch Poke. After Pikachu’s HP is at a reasonable amount, Ashley is eager to catch it and throws a PokéBall. Pikachu remains and is now under her ownership.

After catching Pikachu, Ashley leaves to go to Turffield yet again, when a Pokémon Breeder named Jaime challenges her to a battle. Jaime sends Galarian Meowth as Ashley sends out Piku. After two Electro Balls, Meowth is fainted. Next up is Butterfree. After another two Electro Balls, Piku faints Butterfree. Finally, Seedot. Ashley sends out Orba. Orba uses Confusion, then Seedot uses Tackle. Same thing happens the next turn. Jaime uses a Potion, and Seedot’s HP goes back up, but Orba uses Confusion again. This time, not only does it knock off its HP again, but it also confused it. After using that move a fourth time, Seedot faints, and Jaime loses.

After the battle, Nori wants to evolve, but once again, Nori decides not to. It seems it wants to stay a Grookey forever. On the way to the Gym, a Wooloo crashes into her. Milo comes to see what’s going on, then introduces himself. Milo leaves, and Wooloo follows. Ashley follows them to Turffield, not only for her first badge, but also to find Nori an Everstone, as Nori has been refusing to evolve.

Chapter 4
Chapter 4 — The Grass Route, Part 1
Ashley finally reaches Turffield, Hop appears, saying Sonia is waiting for her on a hill. Then Yamper comes in and signals Ashley to follow it. After following it, she is now on the hill as Sonia talks to her. Sonia shows her this geoglyph, that Ashley thinks is Dynamax. Sonia also says it could have something to do with something called the “Darkest Day”, and says she will be the one to research it. After this, she gives Ashley a League Card belonging to Milo. After reaching the Gym, Hop says he got his first badge in one try. Hop runs off as Ashley goes inside the building. After changing into her uniform, the Gym Challenge begins. This is the Gym challenge: chase Wooloo to a straw blockade. Within less than a minute, the twenty Wooloo break through the first two barriers.

After the second one, Gym Trainer Samuel sees Ashley and challenges her to a battle and sends Gossifleur. After the first two Scratches, little to no damage has been done to Gossifleur. Ashley realizes Nori should use a different move. Nori uses Razor Leaf twice, and after both these times, Gossifleur uses Rapid Spin. After a third Razor Leaf, Nori has almost won. Gossifleur used Rapid Spin again. After a fourth time, it faints. After this battle, Samuel loses.

Ashley gets back to completing her Gym Challenge. There is now eighteen at the third barrier, and only two left behind. Eventually, the last two come while they get past the third barrier. At the final barrier, the first ten come, and three more follow, and the last seven come. Now, the Gym Challenge has been completed.

After entering to the stadium, the battle starts. Milo’s first Pokémon is Gossifleur. Nori starts with a Razor Leaf, but almost faints by Rapid Spin. After yet another Razor Leaf, Gossifleur uses Round, and Nori faints. Orba comes out, and uses Struggle Bug. Gossifleur uses Rapid Spin, but then it faints by Orba’s Struggle Bug.

Milo sends his other Pokémon is Eldegoss, as Ashley sends Piku. Milo calls back Eldegoss and Dynamaxes it while Ashley does the same to Piku. Piku used Max Lightning, which is not very effective, but created an Electric terrain. Piku tries to use Max Strike, but is fainted due to Eldegoss’s Max Overgrowth. Orba comes out, but almost faints by Max Overgrowth. As it uses Struggle Bug, Eldegoss barely faints, and returns to its normal size. Ashley has an idea and revives Piku. Meanwhile, Orba sacrifices itself and Piku jumps in. Piku uses Electro Ball but fails to damage Eldegoss. Ashley uses a Potion, to restore some of Piku’s HP, but Eldegoss uses Leafage, then the terrain heals both Pokémon. The same thing happens more times but now, Ashley has one Potion left. Eldegoss used Round. Ashley uses her last Potion on Piku, but Eldegoss knocked some of its HP off. Piku uses Feint but it doesn’t do much. Piku is now on 1 HP. After using Feint one more time, Piku faints.

Ashley sends out Choco, then revives Orba. Choco used its Assurance, but it does not do much either. Orba jumps in and Eldegoss uses Magical Leaf, but it doesn’t do much. Orba uses Struggle Bug after Eldegoss uses Round. Before Orba can use Struggle Bug again, Eldegoss knocks it out with Magical Leaf. Fang jumps in. Despite its Grass weakness, it’s confident in fainting Eldegoss and helping Ashley win her first badge. But, it faints after only using Bite once. Finally, Fiore jumps in and is confident in fainting its relative. Fiore uses Rapid Spin, and doesn’t do a lot. After Eldegoss’s Round, Fiore uses Leafage. It doesn’t do much. After it uses Round, Fiore faints, and thus putting an end to the battle, in Milo’s favor. Ashley shakes hands with Milo and exits the stadium, then cries and apologizes to Piku, Nori and others for causing their loss and disappointing them. After wiping tears, Ashley heads to a Pokémon Center to heal them. While disappointed, she now remains acting like her normal energetic self.

Alright, two months later, and I’m back on this project! But first… What are your opinions on it so far?

Chapter 5
Eight days later, and Chapter 5 is up!

Chapter 5 — The Grass Route, Part 2
Ashley exits the Pokémon Center, cheerfully.
“Alrighty! It’s time to challenge the Turffield Gym, again!” After running to the Gym, she stops and worries. “Oh no! What if I lose again?” After like a moment of silence. “Alrighty! It’s time to train!” She runs south of Turffield, then east, where she hits a lake. “Hm… What should we do…” Then she remembers that set of Camping Gear she got from Mom. “It’s camping time!”

The moment she sets up camp, there is a hole in the water and it’s bubbling. She gets a Fishing Rod, and starts fishing. A Magikarp appears, slightly startling her. Wanting to catch it, Ashley calls out Nori, who KO’s it with Branch Poke and renders her unable to catch it because it fled.

The same thing happens again. After that, Nori is about to evolve, but decides not to, as usual. “Oh, I forgot! Camping time!”

She finishes setting up camp, then plays with Nori and others. Ashley uses the Poké Toy to play with Orba and Piku, while Nori and Fang squabble about something for a bit. She throws the Poké Ball toy and the Pokémon chase after it, with Nori and Fang still arguing, then stop when they see the toy. First, Choco catches it, then Piku, then Fiore three times, and last Orba.

As Orba retrieves the ball, Ashley talks to Piku, who’s now restless and relaxed. It’s Fiore who ends up receiving the ball. Ashley continues to talk to Piku, who is feeling energetic and curious about its Trainer. Fiore gives the ball to her, and after throwing it, Nori catches it. Ashley tries to make curry, but it can’t happen.

“Oh no… I guess I can’t make curry, then.” After Fiore levels up, they stop camping today. “Now to challenge the Gym again!”

On the way back to the Gym, Ashley has an idea and goes into the yellow grass, then meeting a male Level 16 Electrike. Nori uses Razor Leaf on it, then it uses Roar. Ashley throws a Poké Ball at Electrike, where it stays inside. After Electrike is nicknames Sparky, it gets boxed. “I decided!” she exclaims, “…I’ll aim to become a Pokémon collector!”

Next is a female Level 14 Galarian Meowth. Nori is sent out and uses Scratch. Meowth uses Pay Day. Nori uses Scratch again, and then Meowth uses Growl. The Meowth runs away. Ashley is challenged by Poké Kid Mia, who sends Eevee to battle. Nori uses Branch Poke, knocking out less than half the HP Eevee has. Eevee uses Tail Whip and Baby Doll Eyes. Nori uses its Branch Poke again. Then, Eevee tackles Nori, who then pokes Eevee again, KO’ing Eevee. Poké Kid Mia is energetic despite being sad about losing, and Ashley returns to Turffield. “Turffield…” she says, walking towards the Gym, then entering, “…it’s time.” After talking to the person in the front, she changes into her Gym Uniform and goes to the Stadium. There is a cheering crowd. Milo steps onto the Stadium.

The battle starts as Milo sends out Gossifleur. Ashley sends out Nori, who starts with Scratch. Gossifleur uses Magical Leaf, but it’s not very effective. Nori uses Scratch again, as Gossifleur uses Round. Less than half of Nori’s HP is down as it uses Razor Leaf. Gossifleur uses Magical Leaf, as more than half of Nori’s HP is knocked out. This worries Ashley, because although Nori is the strongest on her team, it might lose. This gives her an idea, so she calls out Orba. “Grass is weak to Bug and Psychic, so Orba makes a perfect candidate!” Like before, Gossifleur uses Magical Leaf. Orba uses Struggle Bug, as most of Gossifleur’s HP goes down as it used Round. Orba uses the same move, KO’ing Gossifleur.

Ashley squeals. “Now we’re gonna win!” Milo calls out his Eldegoss and Dynamaxes it. It uses Max Strike, thus almost KO’ing Orba, who uses Struggle Bug. This gives her a second idea, so she sends out Fiore. “Gotta stall for time…”

Eldegoss uses Max Overgrowth. Luckily, it’s not very effective, so less than half Fiore’s HP goes down. The move is used again, almost KO’ing Fiore, who tries to use Sing, but fails. Luckily, Eldegoss turns back to normal.

Eldegoss uses Round, KO’ing Fiore. Ashley gets worried, and calls out Orba to use Struggle Bug, only to get KO’d by Eldegoss in the process. “…Who’s next?” she asks and has a third idea. She sends out Piku, who uses Feint.

Surprisingly enough, this isn’t very effective, and more than half its HP is taken by Eldegoss. “…I cannot lose!” Piku uses Electro Ball. Eldegoss uses Leafage, and Piku almost faints.

“One…more…try!” Piku uses Electro Ball, then Eldegoss uses Round, KO’ing Piku. “No no no! Piku!” Because Nori hasn’t fainted yet and is the strongest, Ashley sends it out and has one more idea. She Dynamaxes it and tells it to use Max Strike. After two Max Strikes and two attacks from Eldegoss, Nori Max Strikes it again. More than half of Eldegoss’s HP went down, and Nori is on 1 HP and turns back to normal.

“I can’t lose!” Ashley says, telling Nori to use its Scratch attack. Nori uses Scratch, but Eldegoss KO’s Nori. Ashley gets a fifth idea.

“Go, Choco!” She tells Choco to use Beat Up. It does so about a total of two times instead of the expected six. After it happens again, Eldegoss uses Magical Leaf. Choco holds 5 HP and uses Assurance. Eldegoss in the red zone, but is able to KO Choco with Round. “My last Pokémon…”

Ashley calls out Fang. It uses Bite, unexpectedly KO’ing its opponent, causing her to win. She is wide-eyed. “I…won?” “The power of Grass has wilted. That’s an exciting Gym Challenge!” Milo says. “…It must have been a fulfilling battle for you, huh?” He rewards Ashley the Grass badge.

“Alrighty! I got… the Grass badge!” Fang jumps and is also excited. “You need to obtain all eight Gym Badges to complete the Gym Challenge! The only way to gather them is to defeat every Gym Leader!”

After exiting the stadium and changing back to her normal clothes, the person in the front gives her two things: Magical Leaf, and a Grass-type Uniform. Then, Milo comes in and says the Gym Challenge has a set order to be followed, so the next stop is Hulbury, where Gym Leader Nessa is. It’s a bit beyond Route 5. Another way there is through the Wild Area, intriguing Ashley, so she sets off there next.

“Wild Area,” Ashley exits the Gym, “here we go! Ready?” Before that is the Poké Center. Ashley buys a few things, heals up Nori and others, and then leaves. On the way is a team of reporters who challenge her. Reporter Gillian sends out Helioptile. Cameraman Cam sends out Klink.

Helioptile uses Quick Attack, Piku uses Electro Ball, and then Nori uses Razor Leaf. The exact moves are used yet again. Helioptile and Klink are KO’d. Nori, Piku, Choco, and Orba all level up. This is when Nori says it wants to evolve. It does just that. Ashley is excited. “It evolved!”

“Alrighty! Back on the way to Wild Area!” Then, another battle. Pokémon Breeder Adrian calls out Stufful. After Nori uses Double Hit, Stufful uses Leer. Nori uses Razor Leaf twice, causing Stufful to go down. Adrian’s next Pokémon is a Ralts. Ashley calls out Choco, who uses Snarl. Ralts uses its Growl attack. Choco uses Beat Up again, this time going on a full six times. Ralts uses Draining Kiss; restoring some HP.

Choco uses Assurance, then Ralts uses Draining Kiss, once again restoring HP. The same thing happens, but Ralts uses its Growl attack again. Lastly, Choco uses Assurance a third time.

Finally, Adrian sends out Cutiefly. Ashley sends out Piku. It uses Electro Ball three times. After the first time, Cutiefly drains some of Piku’s HP. After the second, Cutiefly uses Fairy Wind. After the third, Cutiefly faints. Then, at a bridge, some people in Team Yell hassle a bike mechanic, but Ashley comes in a second later and battles two Yell Grunts. It takes about five or ten minutes to defeat the first one. After that, Choco evolves.

Then it takes two minutes to defeat the second grunt. Nori faints, so Piku comes to KO Sableye. Piku, Orba and Fiore are leveled up. After the grunts leave, the mechanic gifts Ashley a Rotom bike. After riding the Rotom bike a while, Hop appears in front of her. “I’m warning you! Any closer, and we’re gonna battle!”
