Mijumaru- may or may not evolve into his second stage, but not for some time. I don't see it reaching his final stage.
Pokabu- will probably be the next one to evolve (after Mamepato). The lack of an interesting movepool (other than Tackle and Ember) seem to suggest that evolution is necessary. Unlike the other two starters, I can see this pokemon reaching his final stage (as a parallel to the situation with Charizard in the original series).
Tsutarja- will evolve into her second stage somewhere in the middle of the series. I don't see her evolving to the final stage since Shooti will probably have a Jaroda as his signature pokemon.

And if he obtains one...
Meguroco- it may or may not evolve. I don't see it reaching its final stage (too menacing for Ash). There is a possibility that we may get it to reach its second stage relatively late into the series.

I agree.
Also, do you thing the writers will pull another Charizard? As in one of his pokemon reaching it's final stage, then not listening for a while. I can see it happening with Enbuoh or Waruvial (if he gets it).

Remember,Charmander started off sweet and adorable. Since Meguroco is a baby, they will most likely pull a Charizard on Waruvial. That is all.

I'll be very upset if the writers pull that. Satoshi is too experienced a trainer for any of his Pokemon to disobey him like that.

I'm hoping all of his Pokemon evolve at least once, with a few going all the way.

There is no way to tell who is going to evolve first and Mijumaru might evolve all the way are might not evolve at all,but Meguroco won't be anything like Charizard maybe Pokabu since he is a fire type pokemon,Ash might have a whole lot of fully evolve Isshu starters but if he don't it won't be such a big deal, one starter might evolve while the others stay the same.

I just hope we don't have the same situation as Johto where we wait 10 years for someone to evolve.

It would be very unusual for an egg Pokemon to disobey its trainer. Sure it could be seen as the rebellious kid.

But since egg Pokemon imprinting is much like real life animal imprinting, I seriously doubt even with evolution "Waruvile" will disobey Ash.

Wasn't referring to it potentially disobeying him, I was just pointing out the fact that Charizard is twice as intimidating as Waruvial could ever hope to be and Ash's was only made worse by the fact that it didn't listen. So the argument that his potential future Meguroco wouldn't reach its final stage because Waruvial is scary is somewhat moot.

After seeing BW 09, I'm changing my prediction about Kibago. If the writers have truly learned their lessons about serious, interesting and intense character development, then Kibago will eventually become Ononokusu towards the end of Iris' run when she's truly come into her own as a Dragon Trainer, and when Kibago has truly reached that point. Same deal with my Miju prediction though, this only counts if they are actually getting serious about developing characters.

Do you think mamepato being female instead of male may also be due to the pokedex's description of females being better fliers when it evolves into Kenhorou?

The needed to pick the most feminine of his Pokemon so they could explain why Attract didn't work rapeface him. Miju line and Pokabu line are too manly (dat moustache) and Pikachu has been established as a dude. So Mamepato.

I think the whole female thing has an effect on the story.....
It seems likely that maybe he might release Kenhorou to go mate with a male one......
Been considering that for a long time. Also hoping that Waruvile crushes everyone.

then who replaces it. im not one to doubt the possibility ive implied it before but what pokemon fills the role; another flyer of some sort that fives you four pokemon to choose from eliminating swanna and the fire bug for type doublesalong with the bat for the obvious reason. leaving the eagle, vulture, the fossil, and the weird psychic.
or do you give him something else. honestly i think one of the starters gets sent to oaks for one reason or another and ash catches a pokemon that will be like heracross and kingler where in its caught and delivered back to oaks where it gets strong behind his back and will play a part in the league tournament

Ash's Bird has contractual immunity, unless they decide to give him a Wargle he has to keep Mamepato all the way until at least the next saga (if they go back to Johto or Hoenn then it could potentially be Oak'd and swapped with Noctowl or Swellow).

Also, what the hell is this talk of Oak'ing main party members. They only get sent to Oak temporarily when he needs a pinch hitter like Kingler or Bulbasaur.

im talking about the wild card and dont be so sure about pokemon being oak'd ash did do it to bayleef temporarily or not it happened.
but again im only talking about the sixth spot. we need to first find out who sits in that spot then from there see if it grows with Ash or if it becomes a bit of an oddball which might force Ashes hand to get rid of him one way or another, oak, training, or outright release.
and also who happens to pop onto the other 2 teams

The only time Ash ever Oak'd a main party Pokemon for an extended period of time outside of changing sagas was Muk, due to the smell.

You're forgetting about Heracross

thank you. man it might not have happened recently but it has happened good gracious we are acting like nothing out of the ordinary can ever happen. be it hardly ever does but still.
if or when Ash might put a pokemon from isshu with Oak it will not be a starter. it wont be the bird unless it is replaced by another. it will be that sixth and final slot that will become the merry go round especially if Ash goes Kanto and catches seven or more pokemon.
