I don't think the egg is a meguroco while the egg is the right color for it's skin the lack of stripes on it clenches it the only problem is finding a pokemon with orange spots the closest thing to the egg would be a alternate color Aianto, but I don't think it's that. I kinda wish it was a meguroco more to with the fact I can't figure it out with it's appearnce though I think it's either a Fighting, rock, or ground type, Normal also but that is pushing it.

A Pokemon can't stand near someone else other than its trainer? There are moments when someone uses a Pokemon that isn't there's, that doesn't mean Ash is going to give up Oshawott

And about the egg

Think for a sec people. This is a new series (new season if you will) and things change, for all we know this could mean that eggs no longer make it obvious what hatches out of it.

Let's not forget the point of this egg, to advertise the event that's coming out.

Remember? Three Pokemon can hatch from it, this may mean that the writers are trying to keep it a surprise.

^What Eitaro said, Brilliantly.

The thing it's supposed to advertise is a secret Egg, so you're not supposed to know what's going to hatch from it.

Also, to further prove my point, look at the eggs in BW012.

We can't see a single one of them in there when usually all eggs are fully out in the open

Unova is a faraway region so things may be different here..

Well...

They changed egg's color scheme for some reason. And we know, from an unforeseen source, there will be a Zuruggu in the cast in future episodes...

We will see...

I'm worried about Snivy/Tsutarja to be honest as far as evolution goes. I mean, it's already defeated its evolved form, but it's more than that. She knows Leaf Storm and Leaf Blade already, the two most powerful attacks it can learn. I'm assuming she'll lose Vine Whip soon for Grass Oath (that would also imply that Oshawott learns Water Oath and Tepig learns Fire Oath) since that would explain Ash getting all three starters.

So far, it has no real reason to evolve.

More and more, I'm asking myself if we'll even get one fully evolved starter in Best Wishes...

I don't think we should doubt seeing one starter evolve. The writers aren't going to backtrack and not have any especially since we got Infernape AND Torterra.

It's definitely likely to see one evolve all the way (I'm thinking Oshawott all the way to Daikenki). 2 evolved starters are still possible though too so whether or not the second is Emboar or Jalorda is a different question. I personally would like to see Jalorda because it gives Ash a serpent but either way, at this point, I see all starters evolving with at least Daikenki being the fully evolved one.

And actually the reasons you listed for Snivy not evolving are reasons why it could evolve imo. Tbh, if it is already great, we can't see it stay the same forever. It has to progress somehow throughout the series. And with the moves it has now, I don't think it has any new moves to benefit from other than Grass Oath like you said. So it could use an evolution to spruce things up for the team at some point.

Currently, they are going to backtrack at "main female protagonist"...

And about Egg's possible owner in the future:

Coincidence, or not? We will see...

There are a ton of things i have been thinking about.
1st: With the statement of this series being shorter i dont think his pokemon will evolve fully except one starter and the bird and at best a third. but i am anticipating a backtrack to jhoto or another area like they did with kanto.
2nd: The egg and who is in it. im beginning to think its the lizard with the coloration of it im just leaning that way.
3rd: what if the lizard goes to Ash and the croc is just part of the episode or maybe it belongs to someone else.
just throwing that out take some time to ponder it

Can we really judge that though? Sure she hasn't been doing much now but in the future, that can definitely change (because how many times people say one thing and then suddenly, things change, to an extreme even).

She may not be a coordinator and we're not gonna see billions of episodes of contest training but maybe the writers are trying to tell the heroine's story in a new way? We already know her goal and she's going to have to fulfill that goal in the future. And it may lead to a huge build up for the 8th gym battle.

Also, the reason for the whole Ash with all three starters, no contests, etc. is probably because it's a complete fresh start in the series in a way. It might as well so that it reflects the nature of what Black and White are going for. But just because it's a fresh start and there are some nostalgic elements, doesn't mean the writers can't improve their developments for characters, pokemon, battles, etc.

So in terms of pokemon evolution, I don't think the writers would backtrack on that. And considering Ash has had fully evolved starters in each series: original (Charizard), AG (Sceptile), DP (Torterra and Infernape), I definitely don't think we won't get a fully evolved starter in BW.

Anyway about the egg, I still don't see how the color of the egg means it's Zuruggu. I'm not denying the possibility even though I don't agree with it, but still...Zuruggu's yellow, the egg is tan. I can't see how color is significant.

I sure as hell hope there are a few. We can at least be certain that Mamepato will fully evolve. I want Mijumaru to fully evolve, as well as Tsutarja. I could care less about the pig. I hope the Croc at least reaches it's 2nd stage, because I HIGHLY doubt it will fully evolve.

Let's not start that length of series debate again. It especially has nothing to do with this thread.

i originally brought it up in regards to how Ashs team will end up at the end of this region. then i added if they would go the route of putting in a return visit somewhere would then make it possible for his pokemon to evolve further in that series

Everybody's first 10-15 episodes reflect their later screentime...

Are you sure? They looks same colored to me. Even egg container has similar colors to Zuruggu.

Otherwise, Yorterry is my second guess, cue to BW015's character sheet and Dent's game team. But, as you said, everything is speculation for now...

go back and read previous posts this series is slated to be quite shorter then previous seasons. just read

According to Adamant:

But, I still think Isshu will be faster-paced anyway (with or without that line) because of faster-pacing in the episodes I had seen...

Really? In terms of pokemon, I know that changes...a lot (Turtwig then Torterra for instance). Now, I can't say the same for human characters (although I don't think May had too much screentime the first place) but I don't think we're gonna see Iris do nothing in the future too. She has a goal that we're going to see. Kibago's most likely going to evolve all the way so there has to be some screentime for Iris there. Doryuuzu has to listen to her eventually, that's more for her too. If she's gonna battle Ash for the eighth badge then she's gonna build a team and become a whole lot stronger than she is now. Her story probably requires a lot of screentime in the future.

Now I won't say she'll get as much as Dawn but considering I think they're giving Dento some good screentime too, I'm thinking things are more balanced within the trio than in DP which is an improvement in character screentime imo.

Are you sure? They looks same colored to me. Even egg container has similar colors to Zuruggu.

Yeah, I still don't see how color is some sort of confirmation. Zuruggu in other images and its own sprite is a whole lot yellow than the egg. And you're actually considering the egg case to show that Zuruggu will come from the egg? The case has looked the same since the beginning of the series when eggs were introduced. No offense but I feel that's sorta like grasping for straws if you're trying to consider the egg case to prove something.

According to Adamant:

Because the first 15 episodes are any special indicator of pacing. Remember the 2-3 episode separation between Hearthome and Canalave? Or the year long gap between Snowpoint and Sunyshore. Then there's the TP/TR storyline to follow up on, Iris and Kibago, some more captures for Iris and Dento, etc. Let's hold off on calling BW "fast paced" before something happens that changes everything (Let's also hold off this debate too since this thread is all about captures anyway).

Also, I know Ash has a full team already and some might say that this shows BW as a fast paced series but think about...Iris and Dento don't have their teams done with yet. Dento I'm guessing could get 1 or 2 more pokemon. Hopefully 2 (the ice cream and someone else). Iris I can see get 5 pokemon total (other two might be Crimgan and Monozu?) to have a 5 vs. 5 gym match.

Then Ash's early captures mean that we see all the first stage starters stuff now than later. I mean Turtwig and Chimchar had to wait until the 100s+ to evolve. Let's wait until like 50 or 60 please. Also, his wildcard can swap out earlier and we won't have a Gible situation. So I don't think these captures mean fast paced, I think they just mean different/better handling (hopefully). Which, hey, the sooner we can see Daikenki with Ash, the better (because its bipedal picture and Shell Blade's new animation are winning epic points for me).

Yeah, I still don't see how color is some sort of confirmation.

it's closer looking than the croc's coloring, that's for sure.

If your only looking at it's head and legs then yeah I can see why you'd think that, but i've seen the sprite several times myself when playing and the middle section of it's body does fit the egg's coloring, plus it has the orange stripe on it's chest plus the thing on it's head which would explain the orange spots on the egg, the croc has no orange whatsoever and is a slightly darker brown than the egg as well.

At this point Zuruggu seems the more likely choice to come out of that thing, there's too much evidence to make me think otherwise.

See I think Zuruggu's more banana yellow while the egg is tan. Its stripe is more reddish than the orange on the egg. Again, while I don't think it should happen, I know there's a possibility for it but I don't think color is the best indicator for that.

Disregarding the whole Meguroko speculation, if we are judging the egg on color, tbh, I'd say Yooterri first before any pokemon else. I wouldn't think Zuruggu. (And no I'm not suggesting Yooterri as a choice for the egg, I'm just saying that the color of the egg doesn't prove anything imo).
