Pokémon Evolution/Capture/Release Thread

Unless you believe that Kaki's Lizardon belongs to Aether Foundation after all...no, they didn't confirm that they don't belong to UGs and can't be used by them.
I don't think that the UG Ride Pokemon will actually be used by the main characters (Kiawe's Charizard being an exception).

Nebby isn't there anymore. And everyone is expecting Poipole to return for the league, despite of how he temporarily catch it.

You’re still ignoring that it isn’t caught...

For all intents it’s like the Nebby situation till Mallow catches it in a Pokeball. (And if that happens it might be a repeat of Poipole.)

Shaymin isn’t Mallow's.
You're giving too much credit to SM's consistency.
It's SM, pokeballs almost never appear, all of cast 's pokemon stay out of their pokeballs all the time. Did we even see Mallow with a pokeball before?
They add Shaymin, in the ending, right next to Mallow, just like other main cast pokemon. I think we should assume it as her pokemon, at least for now.

Doesn't change the fact that all the officially owned Pokémon still have Poké Balls. It doesn't matter if we see them once or all the time, as long as we know they exist, we know the Pokémon is officially owned. At least so far, Shaymin is like Nebby, as in not caught, just befriended. Capture is not out of the question, but at least so far, that hasn't happened.

And yes, we have seen Tsareena's Poké Ball. Twice. Once in Ultra Deep Sea and once in a flashback just last week.

The ownership of a Pokemon requires the bare minimum of a Pokeball and that has never been disputed in the 20 year run of the franchise. We know for a fact that Shaymin doesn’t have a Pokeball so it isn’t caught.

By your logic it can be easily argued that the recurring old lady owned Litten before Ash came along, and that Ash owned Nebby.

Litten wasn't staying with with the lady.

We will see...
