Pokémon Evolution/Capture/Release Thread

@ All the people who correctly believed

Ash was gonna capture Dracovish!

How are y'all feeling tonight?! :ROFLMAO:
Wait is that confirmed? I doubt it.

Now Ash can focus on getting his third Dragon. Flygon is out but there is still options like the Apples, Salamanca and Drink

That only confirms Arctozolt will appear. Also why would they give this major spoiler right away? That's just clickbait. He is just riding on it, that does not mean he will catch it.
That's literally the ending shot.

Why would Ash be riding on a Pokémon that's not his at the very end of the Episode?

LARA LAREMIE'S RAPIDASH WOULD LIKE TO KNOW YOUR LOCATION. He obviously became friends with It and he is riding It to have fun. Why would they release such a massive spoiler? They are just clickbaiting like they did with Suicune, Sobble and Farfetch'd. Also why would Ash ride a Pokemon that is his. Only Pikachu is allowed to ride Ash's Pokemon.
(poor squirtle tho)

Can't say I'm keen on the idea of Ash catching a

Dracovish

His dragon types seem to lose focus.

I'd have preferred him to get

Arctovish

At least he gets a water type this series

Can't say I'm a huge fan of Ash catching a Dracovish just cause the design just disturbs me. Seriously why couldn't they put the head in the proper place?
The scientist who created that thing isn't called "Cara Liss" (a clear and obvious play on the word "careless") for nothing. She's just that incompetent and/or amoral, depending on interpretation.

If you're asking the question on a meta sense, there's actually a good number of plausible reasons for why Dracovish looks the way it does, and all of them related to the strange and fascinating history of fossil reconstruction:

One possibility is that it's a reference to the Elasmosaurus platyurus, a plesiosaur that upon initial discovery was reconstructed with its head attached to its tail instead of its neck by mistake. In fact, mistakes like this were quite common back in the days of early paleontology, since back then the severely limited knowledge on fossils (often due to the fact that it's rare for an entire fossilized skeleton to be found intact, especially with megafauna) led to virtually every species being reconstructed wrongly (for example, the Iguanodon's "claw thumb" was at first mistaken for a horn and placed on the tip of the animal's snout).

Another possibility is that Dracovish and the Galar fossils as a whole are a reference to infamous paleontological hoaxes like the "Piltdown Man", a skull initially presented as a "missing link" of sorts only to be revealed years later to be the cranium of a modern human combined with the lower jaw and teeth of an orangutan. Fun fact: since Charles Dawson, the perpetrator of this particular hoax was British, and Galar is specifically based off of Britain, it's very possible that Cara Liss is based off of him, especially with the strong implications in the games that she's the one who provides the Galar fossils' Pokedex descriptions.

Sorry for going off on so many tangents; I'm not a paleontologist myself, but I find the subject to be thoroughly fascinating, so I tend to rant a lot about it XD
