  2. The forums are going to be down this weekend (tentatively Saturday the 19th) for maintenance as we upgrade the software to XenForo 2. Particularly of note is that blogs are going to be removed for the time being, but we are getting a lot of new features with the upgrade.

For more details, see this thread.

UPDATE: Due to technical issues the upgrade has been delayed a few days. We don't currently have a new projected date, but we'll keep you posted if we do find out more details.

There are many jobs in our world. We see them in the games and the anime. What types would they benefit from?
Construction Workers would use Fighting types
    Life guards would have Buizel/Floatzel

Edit: If this is the wrong place, feel free to move it.

Police would definitely have Growlithe, Herdier, and Stoutland for canine units, they could also be great as bomb sniffing and assistance dogs too and even as therapy animals (same for some cat, bird, and rodent Pokémon). Firefighters would use water types and Mudsdale are obviously draft horses.

Any other dog Pokémon could do, especially Houndour line (given if they're trained properly). Furfrou are also a possibility, since in real life, there are poodles used as police dogs.

Anything that could fly and is big enough to be ridden would be useful for mapmaking, surveying, and navigation. In the modern world a helicopter would be a more efficient way of doing that job, but before artificial powered flight they'd be indispensable.

Water pokemon would be used by the fire brigade to put out fires like with Team Wartortle in that Orange Islands episode.

Almost any Pokemon could be a walking pesticide because of Toxic.

Any Pokemon that can use Heal Pulse would be invaluable for the medical field. That is, assuming Heal Pulse can instantly fix any injury.
