Yes, which brings up another valid way to reveal yourself is also soft hinting your Pokedex entry, without spilling it entirely out. So for Pikachu, it could be said "Many of me make a thunderstorm", hinting at its Generation 1 Pokedex entry.

However, once they got to the Ilex Forest, half of it had gone, and the newcomers couldnt tell who had actually caused the damage. Since we're allowed to state the name, the pokemon Zexy is softclaiming sounds like Sunkern/Sunflora. It also happens to be one of the least threatening sounding pokemon and seems like it would be more likely to be a town role. However things aren't always what they seem, claiming a fairly benign sounding pokemon could be a strategy to lull us into a false sense of security?
