Noctowl wearing a New Year's outfit cannot be caught in the wild at this time, and can only be obtained by Trainers via evolving Hoothoot wearing a New Year's outfit.
Event bonuses and Activities
The following two bonuses will be active during this event:
- 1/2 Egg Hatch Distance when Eggs are placed in an Incubator during the event period.
- 1/4 Hatch Distance for the first three Eggs hatched during the event using the Pokémon GO Egg hatching widget.
Collection Challenge and Field Research tasks
New Year's–themed Collection Challenge and Field Research tasks will be available as part of this event. Both these Collection Challenge and Field Research tasks will award Stardust for completion.
Trainers will be able to receive event-themed stickers during this event by spinning PokéStops and opening Gifts, These stickers will also be able for Trainers to purchase directly from the in-game shop.
